Trying it out for the first time and I'm fairly impressed. DOA 5 + and TxK look very good and I've been enjoying playing DOA 5+, had a quick gander at Child of Light and Muramasa Rebirth and both also get the thumbs up. However, monster hunter freedom unite and resident evil trilogy look like some form of regurgitated Minecraft mod.
Aye, I've also played a bit of ultimate marvel vs capcom 3 and its a lot of fun, I didn't much like it on the Vita, I guess sometimes using a proper controller makes a big difference to the experience. It may come in handy in the lounge too as we have two PS4's upstairs in our house. Hopefully PS Now will be compatible too.
Well I picked one up the other day and I have to say I am really happy with it. The only thing though is I need to get an ethernet cable for it cause when my son uses the remote play it drops every so often using the WiFi. Other then that no problems. I do have some advice if you plan on using one for remote play.
1. Don't sync a PS4 controller to the PSTV at first. Depending on how far the signal can reach your PS4 you might not have to sync your PS4 controller or even buy another one for the PSTV. For example if you live in a small apartment or your bedroom is above the main room where the PS4 is located the signal should reach the PS4 still giving you full control which you will be able to see on the screen the PSTV is hooked up to. This is great cause it means there won't be lag as there could be by directly controlling the game through the PSTV. This can be a neat trick as well to play multiplayer games where you are in sperate rooms.
2. If you are having issues with the sound like the sound fading in and out or distorted try unplugging the HDMI cable from the PS4 not the tv. I don't know why this works perhaps some techy kind of person can explain it to me but it worked for me.
I have yet to checkout the Vita library or anything of that nature but so far it's living up to my expectations.
