I never found the old Tomb Raider games that enjoyable at all. I thought the combat was clunky and the exploration could be quite frustrating. Maybe a post for the unpopular gaming opinions thread than for here but it wasn't until the reboots that I enjoyed the series at all.
For $15, I got Skate 2 today. Played it back when it came out on 360, now got it to scratch the skateboarding itch.

TR2 is easily the highlight of the original series for me. Loved the first as I'd never played anything like it - but getting to Venice in TR2 was mind blowing at the time.

I went into GAME to pick up my Kiwami 2 pre-order, but left with a lot more..
Alongside it I picked up Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze for Switch and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire and Dragon Quest VII for the 3DS.
I paid ~£100 for the entire haul (20% off the preowned Nintendo games, £12 back in rewards). Very pleased with that, given DK TF still retails at ~£40!

Managed to snag the collector's edition of Dust An Elysian Tale for the Switch from Limited Run Games. It comes with the game (of course) soundtrack CD, a.couple of posters, a Fidget.plushie and a USB drive that looks like the Sword. All for $70

Picked.up Mafia II for $7.50 for the Xbox One. After playing Mafia III a few years ago I have been wanting to play Mafia II again. So I finally snagged it.

Shining Resonance Refrain (Switch) - Actually bought this a couple of weeks ago. It's been a pretty standard JRPG so far (I'm a bit over 35 hours in). My biggest pet peeves so far is that there's been a couple instances where you don't have a save opportunity before a big boss fight, there's very limited fast travel, and, presumably as a cost saving measure, there's not much in the way of cut scenes (there's a lot of story, but most of it is presented in a very non engaging way). Still it is fun ripping through bosses as a dragon, and it looks crisp even in portable mode, which is a plus, it's just not going to be a XC2 or Ys VIII in terms of enjoyment (still better than Atelier Lydie & Suelle though, lol).
Senran Kagura: Reflextions (Switch) - Played through the first scenario this morning. It's pretty silly all in all, should be a good laugh.
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
It's been a treat. Yesterday was the first time in many years I played Super Mario World, Super Mario Kart, and Link to the Past. The other games featured I've enjoyed as well.

@DerMeister I have actually been playing my SNES and NES Classic alot lately. Such a nostalgia trip. I right now I just got to Vanilla Dome in SMW. It's amazing how even after not playing something for years you remember where all the secrets and stuff are.

I bought an old Gamecube from an amazing Retro games store this weekend. Torn between forking out for an HD adapter (super expensive) or getting a second hand tv to run it.

@KratosMD Cool, glad to hear it! The more people that play the hidden gem of Oxenfree the better. Yeah I imagine it would suit the Switch very well, I was thinking that earlier.

Picked up Mutant Football League Dynasty Edition for the Switch so I will have something to play when I go out of town next week. A little preemptive but I will be getting Diablo 3 as well in a few hours

I went to a great retro gaming shop and walked out with a Mega Drive 2 with some games, a PS1 with some nostalgia faves, including Alien Trilogy, Die Hard Trilogy and V Rally, Zelda Minnish Cap for GBA, plus some PS2 faves. The Mega Drive will be a future birthday pressie!
