Inside source from Microsoft:

• Microsoft is in talks with Konami to buy Silent Hills as an exclusive for the Xbox One
• If the deal goes through, Microsoft will announce this at E3 2015
• The game will then release in March 2016
• The dollar amount for the sale is in the billions

to me ? about 99% false, but whatever, IF this is true, what do you guys think ?

For me I don't care since I wasn't a big fan of the series. Honestly though good for Silent Hill fans if Konami isn't going to do something with it might as well sell it to someone who will.

Well... Better Xbox exclusive than dead, I suppose.

It could be true. If you look at the Horror genre, Sony have a few games out or due out - games like Until Dawn, Soma.... and Microsoft don't have anything. As we know, MS has timed exclusivity on the next Tomb Raider as they don't have a 'Uncharted' so its possible they have bought 'Silent Hill' for similar reasons.

As someone who owns both consoles, it doesn't bother me. I can't say the last few Silent Hills games appealed to me so it wasn't too disappointing to hear that Konami were not intending to make another one. If true, I can only see it as a positive. We get a new Silent Hill game, hopefully with a few fresh new ideas and Konami, who seem to be going through a difficult patch, get a big cash injection.

It's complete and utter nonsense. The game is not 80 per cent complete. It was not due out in March 2016. And not even Microsoft would spend $2 billion on a franchise like this.

I'm baffled that this has gathered steam - and on sites such as IGN, too.

I'm afraid Sammy that most sites are only interested in getting views from clickbait articles then getting any genuine meaningful stories.

It's obviously nonsense but could have been much more believable if it wasn't for the price being in the billions. Silent Hill is a decent franchise but worth billions? Only in the same world where One Direction are the most important thing to ever happen to music.
