OK. I was watching Angry Joe on Youtube earlier and hes done a new XboxOne rant video about this webpage. Yep. M$ have actually confirmed how DRM is going to work on the new Xbox. When looking for the link to share with you guys I had to jump through a lot of hoops. Found it tucked away in the press section.
Apparently your games are stored on the cloud too so you can play it at your friends! But you have to log in every hour or it stops working lol Id recommend watching Angry Joes XboxOne rant as he seems to have dug up more detailed info than the site
Can we not use the term M$ I would assume were better than that. Also what do you mean you had to jump through hoops its the first thing you see on Xbox Wire.
Anyway I was excited about the system and I still am but unless the 24 hour thing changes no way I would buy this at launch. Hence hello PS4.
WAT!
Hey check out my awesome new youtube channel shingi70 where I update weekly on the latest gaming and comic news form a level headed perspective.
I've been trying to soak up as much as this as possible. Honestly, I'm not sure what there is to say from the PlayStation perspective until Sony clarifies its stance. Will try to put something up later, though.
Yeah, I guess there wasn't really any news, just clarifications. If you want an angle to tie it in w/ Sony here's a good starting point:
"Loaning or renting games won't be available at launch, but we are exploring the possibilities with our partners," Microsoft announced bluntly.
Renting is a big deal to me. I'm expecting to get flambe'd next weekend when I rent "Last of Us" b/c all the same people who say MS is wrong for not allowing renting will also equate "renting" to piracy when someone actually does it b/c the developers/publishers don't get their cut.

Are we reading the same article? Because I can't find where it says you have to log in every hour or so...in fact, that link you gave us clears up a lot of bad press the Xbox has been getting...and creates new problems, such as: it'll be up to the publishers whether or not to charge a fee and how much it'll be (we all know what all of them are gonna do...).
EDIT: No we are not. You should've posted the connected link as well as the license link. The Connected page covers the online stuff.
It doesn't . The system has connect once every 24 hours which makes no sense at all. I have no problem with Microsoft being and transitioning their products to more of a service (I love office 365) but games are something that this doesn't work for. The 24 hour imit doesn't even make sense if you still own the disc.
So hello PS4/Vita.

Caniswolfred - the 1 hour time limit was mentioned on Arsteca (never can spell that right), it's for playing at a friends house, not your own house. Here's their quote, and no I don't know where Aratecha got their info from:
.............................................................. Your primary console can be offline for up to 24 hours without this online check-in, while a secondary console (i.e. one accessing your library/account at a friend's house) can only be offline for an hour at a time. .............................................................
Don't know if it's true or not, but it is out there somewhere.
