Review Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles (PS4)
Not a cloud in the sky
Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles is quite possibly the most pleasant game on PlayStation 4. News Relaxing Adventure Game Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles Gets Enhanced Edition on PS5
Island life
Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles is a cosy adventure game that we reviewed when it released on PS4 back in 2017. Small PSA that may only be relevant to the PS5 release of Yonder. There appears to be a nasty bug that corrupts ALL your saved files (actually one save file with 3 slots in it). It seems to occur when you exit the game completely, so my advice: Exit the game frequently, make sure there’s a save file on the PS5 storage that’s larger than 0kb and then sync it to the cloud or save to USB.
This has happened to me twice and having PSPlus has saved the day (a little bit) as the game has been able to drag the last cloud sync. I have no idea what would happen if you didn’t have PSPlus - I guess it would be back to square one! Very frustrating and I hope Prideful Sloth recognise the problem and get a patch out soon.
