How Do You Change Seasons in Assassin's Creed Shadows?

At the start of the game, during your opening handful of hours, the game will naturally change the seasons for you and you won't have much — or any — control over the mechanic. The change generally takes place when you fast travel or control is taken away from you once enough time has passed.

Later on in the game, you can switch to the next season by opening the map screen and holding Right. A white meter will fill up around the compass in the top-right corner, at which point the season progresses to the next. You can't immediately then jump to the next season, however. You need to let a certain amount of time pass before the option becomes highlighted again on the map screen.
