Looking for all collectibles like Artefacts and Puzzle Pieces in the SSD Speedway world of Astro's Playroom? This is the futuristic racetrack area that you'll visit, and is divided up into four different levels.
Where Are All Collectibles in SSD Speedway in Astro's Playroom?
In total, there are 9 Artefacts and 16 Puzzle Pieces for you to collect in SSD Speedway. As part of our Astro's Playroom guide, we're going to show you the exact location of all collectibles in SSD Speedway, in the order that you'll discover them.
Turbo Trail
There are 2 Artefacts and 4 Puzzle Pieces to collect in Turbo Trail.
Turbo Trail Puzzle Piece #1
At the very beginning of this stage, simple turn the camera around and head backwards. You'll find a platform with a Puzzle Piece upon it. Smash the glass and bounce up to grab it.
Artefact #1: Buzz Controller
When you first get the opportunity to fly a hand-glider, launch yourself as high as possible. You need to land on the platform above the Gravity Rush Easter egg. Pull the exposed electrical cords for the Buzz Controller Artefact.
Turbo Trail Puzzle Piece #2
When you reach the second hand-glider section, you need to shoot Astro Bot through a ring with the PlayStation symbols on it. There's a Puzzle Piece in the middle.
Turbo Trail Puzzle Piece #3
At the third hand-glider section, when you have to navigate the electrical obstacles, a Puzzle Piece will appear shortly before you land on the next platform.
Turbo Trail Puzzle Piece #4
Once you're on the platform after the aforementioned Puzzle Piece, head to the left on rear of the stage and drop down. You'll find a trail of coins leading to a Puzzle Piece.
Artefact #2: DualShock 2 Controller
When you reach the space rocket, run underneath it, past the Helghast. You'll find a bunch of data crates stacked up. Smash them to reveal some exposed electrical cables. Tug on them to get the Artefact: the DualShock 2 Controller.
Caching Caves
There are 2 Artefacts and 4 Puzzle Pieces to collect in Caching Caves.
Caching Caves Puzzle Piece #1
After the first checkpoint, there's a gap you can drop down marked by a coin. Fall into this secret area for an easy Puzzle Piece.
Artefact #1: PS2 Multitap
Shortly after the previous Puzzle Piece, as you move up the environment, explore to your left. You'll find a coil of dynamite making the PlayStation symbols shape. Use your thrusters to light this and you'll be rewarded with an Artefact: the PS2 Multitap.
Caching Caves Puzzle Piece #2
After the checkpoint, there are a row of dynamite barrels you can detonate. Use your thrusters to ignite them, revealing a secret area with a Puzzle Piece inside.
Caching Caves Puzzle Piece #3
As you head up the map, with all the active electrical currents, deviate to the right to find an area with a spider's web. You'll find the Puzzle Piece hovering above a hazardous area.
Artefact #2: PS2 Memory Card
Blast through the aforementioned spiders' webs to find a secret area with another easy Artefact. This time it's the PS2 Memory Card.
Caching Caves Puzzle Piece #4
Once you've been kicked out of Astro Bot's suit, jump down to the bottom of the stage and you'll see a glass compartment with a Puzzle Piece inside. Smash it and collect it.
Deep Dataspace
There are 2 Artefacts and 4 Puzzle Pieces to collect in Deep Dataspace.
Deep Dataspace Puzzle Piece #1
At the very beginning of the level, if you head to your left there are three screws you can spin punch by holding down the Square button. Do it to raise the platform and reveal a Puzzle Piece.
Deep Dataspace Puzzle Piece #2
In the same area, rush beyond the enemy who electrocutes the ground and towards the platform directly ahead of you. Coins will appear. Carefully run around to the rear of this for a Puzzle Piece.
Deep Dataspace Puzzle Piece #3
After the area with a red PS Move controller you can detonate to create a firework display, bounce up the platforms and look back down over the other side. There's a globe and a Puzzle Piece in an alcove.
Artefact #1: PS2 Game Disc
Shortly after the checkpoint after the previous Puzzle Piece, there's a collapsed satellite you can blow to open up. Navigate it and an asteroid will crash into the planet you're standing on. Pull the exposed electrical cables that appear for a new Artefact: the PS2 Game Disc.
Deep Dataspace Puzzle Piece #4
Once you're back on the critical path, you'll encounter a dynamite barrel that you can detonate by hovering over. Once it explodes, it'll reveal a hole in the ground with a Puzzle Piece inside.
Artefact #2: EyeToy Camera
Once you get the machine gun, head back to where Puzzle Piece #2 was. There's a glass globe you can shoot open revealing exposed electrical wires. Tug them for the EyeToy Camera Artefact.
Orbital Obstacles
There are 3 Artefacts and 4 Puzzle Pieces to collect in Orbital Obstacles.
Orbital Obstacles Puzzle Piece #1
In the section where you go underwater, the Puzzle Piece is pretty much unmissable. Just use your jet thrusters to grab it.
Orbital Obstacles Puzzle Piece #2
Shortly after the checkpoint, in the area where there are lots of electrical obstacles, enter the asteroid from your right for another Puzzle Piece.
Artefact #1: PS2 Slim
As you fly up the space station, there's an electrical obstacle sliding from left-to-right. Enter the hole on your right to reach a secret area with an Artefact at the end: the PS2 Slim.
Orbital Obstacles Puzzle Piece #3
As you follow the level's critical path, you'll reach an area with electrical obstacles moving in a circle. Carefully evade them, and collect the Puzzle Piece that's circling with them.
Artefact #2: SingStar Microphone
From the previous Puzzle Piece, fall down into the ice area, and you'll reach a hidden area with icicles and an explosive container. Use your thrusters to light it and you'll get an Artefact: the SingStar Microphone.
Orbital Obstacles Puzzle Piece #4
This one is hard to miss. In the area where fans are blowing from the ceiling, fly as low as possible without dying, and you'll find the Puzzle Piece to the right.
Artefact #3: PlayStation 2
You'll unlock the PlayStation 2 Artefact for completing the world, so simply make it to the end of the level and pull the large exposed electrical cables at the end.
