How Do You Get All 7 Endings in Dead Rising 1?

Dead Rising 1 Endings: How to Get all 7 Endings Guide

There are 7 endings in the game, which are named S, A, B, C, D, E, and F. As you'd expect, S is considered the best while F is the worst, with the 5 others concluding a range of other scenarios. Below you'll discover how to get all 7 endings in Dead Rising 1, with explanations guiding you through their requirements.

Dead Rising 1 Endings: How to Get the S Ending

To access the S Ending, you need to complete Overtime Mode. This is unlocked after finishing 72 Hour Mode and the game automatically transitions into it. As such, you essentially need to complete the A Ending, and then the game will load into Overtime Mode and you'll be given the chance to get the S Ending.

Dead Rising 1 Endings: How to Get the A Ending

The A Ending requires you to complete every Case in the game, talk to Isabela at 10am on 22nd September, and then be at the Helipad two hours later at 12pm for the rescue helicopter.

Dead Rising 1 Endings: How to Get the B Ending

Ending B will play at the end of the game if you fail to complete the main Cases. If you stop doing Cases before Case 7-1 - The Last Resort, then this is one way you can save Brad and Jessie. As soon as you fail to complete one Case, all those remaining will automatically be failed too. There'll be no rescuing your playthrough unless you can load an earlier save.

Dead Rising 1 Endings: How to Get the C Ending

Ending C requires you to complete all the Cases but then ignore Isabela when she calls at 10am on 22nd September. No matter whether you're on the Helipad two hours later, Ending C will play.

Dead Rising 1 Endings: How to Get the D Ending

When the Special Forces soldiers appear in the mall, if one of them takes away your last block of health, they'll capture you. Frank will awaken tied up and captured by them, and a yellow meter must be filled by moving the left thumbstick. If you don't break free by filling that meter and the time until the rescue helicopter arrives runs out, you'll get Ending D.

Dead Rising 1 Endings: How to Get the E Ending

Ending E plays if you fail to solve all the Cases in the game and then aren't even at the Helipad once Ed in the helicopter arrives at 12pm on 22nd September.

Dead Rising 1 Endings: How to Get the F Ending

During Case 7-2 - Bomb Collector, you must head into the Maintenance Tunnels underneath the mall and disarm some bombs placed by Carlito. If you fail to collect all the bombs in the allotted time, then Ending F will play. We think you can imagine what happens based on what Frank's doing down there.
