Here's how you can get your hands on both the Maser Gun and Support Skeleton in Death Stranding Director's Cut.

Reach Distribution Center West of Capital Knot City in Chapter 2

To start with, you will need to progress through the game a little. You must reach Distribution Center West of Capital Knot City, which is first introduced in Chapter 2: Amelie. It's a key location and unmissable as you go through the main missions.

If you are further into the game and want to get back to this location, don't forget you can fast travel to any major facilities from a private room.

Complete Order No. 77 — Collection: Cargo Discovered in the Ruined Factory

One of the missions you'll be tasked with at the aforementioned location is Order No. 77 — Collection: Cargo Discovered in the Ruined Factory. This is a brand new mission for Director's Cut that appears after completing Order No. 7 and Order No. 8. Even if you import your PS4 save, you will still need to return to Distribution Center West of Capital Knot City and accept this order if you want the Maser Gun and Support Skeleton. Once you have completed Order No. 77, the Maser Gun and Support Skeleton will become available to you. You'll be able to fabricate these items and equip them for future missions.

Death Stranding Director's Cut: What Is the Maser Gun?

The Maser Gun is a new non-lethal weapon introduced in Death Stranding Director's Cut on PS5. It's a gun that's effective against human enemies, firing an electrical charge that will knock out opponents. Hold L2 to aim and hold R2 to fire a stream of electricity.

Once unlocked, you can fabricate the Maser Gun as with any other weapon in the game.

Death Stranding Director's Cut: What Is the Support Skeleton?

The Support Skeleton is a new exoskeleton for Death Stranding Director's Cut on PS5. There are already a handful of exoskeletons in the base game, but this is a new type that's ideal for beginners. The Support Skeleton is an all-round augmentation of Sam's strength and abilities, allowing him to carry more cargo at once and giving him a speed boost when sprinting. It's not as effective as more specialised Skeletons in the game, but it uses less battery power to make up for it.
