Rellana, Twin Moon Knight: Boss Fight Strategy
Just like the Divine Beast Dancing Lion encounter, you should take note of the gold summon signs on the floor in front of the fog door. You're able to summon Dryleaf Dane and Needle Knight Leda for this battle, but we only recommend calling upon one of them. This is because the summons aren't quite as useful this time around, and having more of them on your side increases the boss' HP. Just take Needle Knight Leda for this one.
When you enter the boss arena, you'll quickly learn what Rellana, Twin Moon Knight is all about: aggression. She's relentless in her attacks, with swords equipped in both hands along with magic attacks. You'll very rarely ever have a second to rest, as she's quick on the draw and unable to stay at far range for too long.
Letting Needle Knight Leda take the boss' attention and your Mimic Tear Ashes take the boss' attention, gang up on her as much as possible, triggering staggers and Bleed procs wherever possible. If you manage to stagger her, you can deal a heavy blow to the front or back. The first phase of the encounter remains fairly simple, with simple sword swipes to dodge and the use of Glintblade Phalanx to avoid. If she swings her sword downwards, the magical swords will fire instantly. If she gestures across her chest, they'll hang in the air for a few seconds before aiming for whoever has her attention.
This fight really kicks into gear in the second phase, where the boss imbues her two swords with Fire and Magic damage. She becomes even more aggressive and can deal run-ending magic attacks. One you need to look out for is a Twin Moon Attack: she'll fly into the air and turn into two large orbs. These will come crashing down to the ground — with her acting as a third — and deal AoE damage where they land. Get out of the way of them and roll through the blasts when you can.
As long as your summon and Mimic Tear Ashes survive this long, you can allow them to take the brunt of this fight, only choosing to engage when there's an easy opening. While Rellana, Twin Moon Knight has a lot of health, it very quickly disappears when the NPCs are ganging up on her. If you're looking for a weakness, call on Lightning attacks. It's also possible to parry some of the boss' attacks, but this is a risky approach. If you parry her twice in a row, she'll be open to a critical hit. While being aggressive yourself is the key to overcoming this encounter, you'll need to manage it correctly so you can safely retreat to get some health back. Once you've beaten her, the Scadu Altus will be open to you.
