Final Fantasy 16: Fire in the Sky Walkthrough

Fire in the Sky is a Main Quest in Final Fantasy 16, following on from Onward. As part of our Final Fantasy 16 guide, we're going to explain everything you need to know about Fire in the Sky.

Fire in the Sky: Walkthrough

Fire in the Sky begins immediately after you fast travel to The Crystalline Dominion at the end of the last quest.

Head forward along the rooftops. You'll come to a ladder — climb it and watch the cutscene. Afterwards, proceed forwards and fend off the soldiers. A little further on are some more enemies to fight. After that, go through the gap and down the slope. Defeat the crabs, and continue following the sewer.

Watch the quick cutscene showing the belltower, then proceed to the rope lift and interact with it. You'll next need to fight some more soldiers. Go through the gap and fight another large group of enemies ahead.

After that, approach the gate on the left side and open it. Proceed up a ladder and through a second gate, then onto another batch of baddies. Ascend the next ladder and watch the brief cutscene.

Go through a couple of wooden doors, and prepare for another fight. With that done, continue through another pair of doors and down some stairs. At the bottom, open the large wooden doors and watch the cutscene.

You'll now be in a boss fight against White Dragon.

White Dragon Spoils:

• 3x Whitewyrm Bone
• 20x Sharp Fang
• 20x Bloody Hide
• 1,500 EXP
• 200 Ability Points
• 3,200 gil

After the fight, watch the cutscene. Next, you'll be able to speak to Goetz, who can sell you items you might need and craft or upgrade your gear. When you're ready, talk to Jill to continue the quest. Watch the next cutscene.

Proceed through the linear path towards the crystal's heart. Open the door and continue to find a group of enemies to fight. Go through the large gates, then drop down into another battle. Once that's done, find a wooden board against a wall and climb up it to continue.

Go up the stairs and right, then climb another wall. Watch the cutscene. Proceed forward to fight yet more enemies, then jump across the gap and go up the slope. Continue following the path, then watch the cutscene.

Another group of enemies comes next, then you need to climb the wall. Another group of enemies is waiting for you — defeat them and climb another wall. Continue forward, then drop down and watch another cutscene.

Boss fight time! You're up against Necrophobe.

Necrophobe Spoils:

• 1x The Favor of Earth (Windup)
• 20x Wyrrite
• 20x Magicked Ash
• 1,500 EXP
• 180 Ability Points
• 3,000 gil

With the fight over, watch the cutscene, then climb the wall ahead. Enter the building and go up the stairs. Open the door and watch the cutscene.

Time to fight Bahamut.

Bahamut Fight 1 Spoils:

• 50x Sharp Fang
• 5x Meteorite
• 2,000 EXP
• 100 Ability Points
• 2,500 gil

Watch the cutscene. Next, continue fighting Bahamut.

Bahamut Fight 2 Spoils:

• 1x Light Shard
• 50x Wyrrite
• 50x Magicked Ash
• 3,000 EXP
• 300 Ability Points
• 3,000 gil

Watch the cutscene. Fast travel back to The Hideaway to end the quest.

Objective Log

• Make for the belltower
• Slay the white dragon
• Speak with Jill
• Make for the heart
• Slay the necrophobe
• Defeat Bahamut
• Return to the hideaway
