Onward is a Main Quest in Final Fantasy 16, following on from Out of the Shadow. As part of our Final Fantasy 16 guide, we're going to explain everything you need to know about Onward.
Onward: Overview
Type | Description |
---|---|
Main Quest |
Only a single Mothercrystal remains in Storm — Drake's Tail, in the Crystalline Dominion. Clive and Jill set out to breach the borders of the Dominion and infiltrate its capital, Twinside — now the besieged seat of the Holy Empire of Sanbreque. |
Onward: Walkthrough
Onward begins immediately after you fast travel to Laetny's Cleft at the end of the last quest.
Proceed through the path. After crossing the bridge, you'll encounter some enemies, so watch out for them. Continue through the gorge, fighting any enemies on the way to the marker. When you get there, watch the cutscene.
Continue down the path towards Boklad. The area ahead is quite large, and open for exploration. When you're ready, head for the marked location. When you arrive, watch the cutscene.
You'll next need to search the market for Goetz who, fortunately, is very close by. Speak to him. After that, head to the Crimson Caravans, which has a red chocobo sign. Once you're there, watch the cutscene. This will trigger a sub-quest called To Catch a Thief. You'll need to do this next, so click the link for the lowdown.
Once that's complete, talk to Theodore. This begins another sub-quest named Blood from the Stones. Complete this next — click the link for more info.
With that done, your next task is to talk to Goetz. Do that and watch the cutscene. When it's over, fast travel to The Crystalline Dominion to end the quest.
