Chapter 4 - Dawn of a New Era is the fourth Main Chapter in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, and immediately follows Chapter 3 - Deeper into Darkness once the team is reunited in the Mythril Mine. With Junon in your sights, follow the hooded figures down into the valley below the city. You can explore the wider area if you like, but the main objective will take us underneath Junon to Under Junon; just follow the marker there. Rhonda, the mayor of Under Junon, will greet you upon arrival and lets you pass and explore the little village. Your ultimate goal is the inn towards the back of town, but between Rhonda and there are new Shops to browse and Queen's Blood players to beat, so explore to your heart's content and then progress the story. To actually make the objective marker appear, you'll need to speak to a few of your party members first. There's also a Side Quest called Stuck in a Rut to complete.

Speak to the Innkeeper to prepare a rest, only for you to hear a scream outside. Rush out to discover there's a monster attacking at the docks, so follow Priscilla to discover it's Yuffie being attacked on a little boat. You'll now need to fight the Terror of the Deep, which likes to hang in the air away from standard attacks to an annoying degree. It's weak to Lightning, so cast that Spell and try to apply pressure to its stagger meter when you can.

At roughly half health, it'll dive below the decking and shoot up in specific corners of the arena. This actually makes it much easier to target with standard sword attacks, so take advantage and apply pressure when you can. Take note of your teammates who can get caught up in bubbles of water, which renders them out of action until you destroy them. As always, Limit Breaks and Summons work great for reducing the HP bar.

When you regain control after the victory cutscene, swim back to shore to check on Yuffie. She'll regain consciousness in a pretty awkward situation for Cloud, but she apologises and asks to speak to you properly the day after as you head back into town. The party is beat, though, so head to the inn for some proper rest. As you're walking to your room, you'll catch Aerith talking to someone. After she catches you, enter her room and take the Empress's Scepter from the purple chest, then talk to her. When prompted in the conversation, select "You shoved a flower at me."

Next, enter the room with Red XIII in and talk to him, selecting the "We'll manage" response. Head upstairs to your room afterwards, for Tifa to open her door to you on the way there. During the conversation with her, select "The general store kid?" as your response. Finally, enter your room and go to bed.

The next morning, Cloud will be woken by a knock at the door from Yuffie and the rest of the team. She'll reveal a plot to murder Rufus Shinra during the Junon Parade, only for her to escape out the window as a returning face awaits aboard his motorbike outside. Having gone to meet him, Roche invites you up into proper Junon for a battle to the death. You can choose to continue with the main quest at this point by finding Priscilla, or knock off the new Side Quests in Under Junon that become available at this point: When Words Won't Do and a few others from the Community Noticeboard.

This guide will continue with the main story, which now requires you to go down to the docks and talk to Priscilla about getting into Junon proper. She's on a small dock playing with a dolphin. Priscilla will suggest using the boat out in the water to reach Junon, via the dolphin. You'll need to commit to progressing the main story at this point because you can't return to Under Junon for a while afterwards. The game also recommends being Level 23 or above, so make sure you've reached that. When you're ready to go, jump in the water and swim with the dolphin.

You'll now take part in a minigame where Cloud rides the dolphin. Follow the arrows in the water and hit the beachballs when possible; follow the course and when you reach the end, successfully hit the buttons that appear on the screen and Cloud will jump up onto the boat.

Now enter the tanker's control room and use the levers to lower the tanker all the way down into the water. The rest of the team will join you in a tugboat, then you can lift the tanker back up. A cutscene will show the president arriving in Junon, then you regain control of Cloud who must rejoin the others in the second room along.

Having made it back out into the open and onto the top deck, surprisingly, none of the soldiers are bothered by your presence on the Airstrip, so simply take a left and run down the red carpet. At the end, you can use the red console to go down a level. A cutscene will interject, then you'll be back in control in the Aerodrome. There's another elevator in the back you can take down, with the next cutscene seeing the team decide to disguise themselves for the Junon Parade and attempt to talk with the president. Cloud, Tifa, and Aerith will get suited and booted and then leave the changing room, only to be immediately ambushed by a commander and forced into a form check.

This is a practice for the real thing, so you're allowed to make mistakes. Though, it's a very simple routine. Afterwards, you'll need to form your Seventh Infantry band for the Junon Parade. Next, you'll need to perform in the Junon Parade. If you do well enough, you'll earn a prize for an outstanding performance. There's a Trophy for doing so, and here's how you unlock it:

After the Junon Parade, you'll switch to playing as Yuffie, who's in the crowd. Climb the scaffolding until you come to a cutscene, and then a quick minigame where you must line up the assassination. Move the reticule into the target area and press the X button when it flashes. You'll need to do this three times for a successful shot, but Barret will call out and give the president enough time to only make it through with a slash to the face.

The team will then decide to split up as Junon is put on high alert, with most of the group heading off to find a hooded figure while Cloud makes for the port along with a trooper unit. Take the Rune Blade from the purple chest once you regain control, and use the Rest Stop and Shops if needs be. All the troopers you encounter next are considered enemies, so defeat every one you see and make your way through the Seaport Facilities. It's a linear path through, so you can't get lost. When you reach the J-Unit Sweeper, use Thunder to quickly damage and stagger it. You'll need to destroy two of them, then you can interact with the console in this area.

A Deathwheel awaits at the bottom of the lift, which loves to quickly zip around the arena and is generally hard to get close to. When it stops temporarily, use the opportunity to land some blows and charge your ATB meter so you can use Abilities and Spells. Once it's down, use the Rest Stop and Shops at the end of the hallway and push on.

Having pulled the level at the end, you'll find yourself in a fighting arena with Roche and his motorbike at the centre. You'll now need to fight Roche aboard his motorbike, which makes him a tricky customer to simply hit. Once you've got a piece of your ATB meter to use, cast Assess to learn he's weak to Fire. The Spell does both fantastic damage and increases his stagger meter, so be sure to charge your ATB gauge and immediately use it as much as possible. This is a pretty easy fight to be honest, so as long as you're sufficiently levelled, Roche really shouldn't pose much of a problem.

Once you've beaten him, run through the hanger (collecting all the resources along the way) and watch the touching cutscene as your troopers leave. Now, operate the console to take the elevator down and head towards the cruise ship to find the rest of your party waiting. To get on board, use the lowered bridge and talk to Captain Titov. As the cutscene begins, it turns out Kyrie has missed her trip abroad and Chapter 4 comes to an end.
