Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth: The Pursuit of Perfection Walkthrough

The Pursuit of Perfection can be claimed off the Community Noticeboard in Gongaga, and it comes with a Level 31 recommendation.

The Weaponsmith's Request

To get this Side Quest started properly, speak to the weaponsmith at Izo's Smithery northeast of Gongaga village.

Take Izo's Map

Izo wants to create the ultimate weapon, but first he needs the materials for it. Take the map that'll help you locate them from his shed just a bit south of his house.

Find the Draconite Deposits

You'll be given a "map" in the form of five pictures you can cycle through with the D-Pad. The first image tells you to head back the way you came in the direction of Izo's Smithery. Take a left next (so the tree with a hole in the middle is in front of you), then go around the tree until you come to a broken monument with a lantern inside. Take a left at this fork, then follow the path until you come to a big tree by the cliff on your right-hand side with lots of draping branches.

When you get to the base of the tree, four Daggerwings will appear, so kill them.

Gather Draconic Ore

Once they're all down, you can harvest the Draconic Ore from the shining blue crystals nearby. There are two right beside you after the fight, then take the rope up to a new area where more deposits are located to your right.

Deliver the Draconite Ore

Head back to Izo's Smithery to complete the Side Quest.
