Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth: The Saga of the Seaside Inn Walkthrough

The Saga of the Seaside Inn is a Side Quest in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth that can be started in Chapter 7. As part of our Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth guide, we're going to provide a The Saga of the Seaside Inn Walkthrough that covers all the stages of the Side Quest. It takes place in the Corel Region.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth: The Saga of the Seaside Inn Walkthrough

The Saga of the Seaside Inn becomes available at the very start of Chapter 7 - Those Left Behind, as the team prepares to leave Costa del Sol for Mt. Corel. Instead of leaving Johnny's Seaside Inn, go and speak to him at his desk to start the Side Quest. It has a Level 31 recommendation.

Track Down the Johnny's at the Costa Falls

This is the longest Side Quest you'll have encountered in the game so far, with 12 steps to it. Your first port of call is going to Costa Falls to find the other Johnny's. Leave Costa del Sol for Costa Falls by passing the Chocobo ranch and heading out west; you should eventually spot two Johnnys by a lagoon and waterfall.

Recover the Refurbishment Materials

The two Johnnys will ask you to recover refurbishment materials, which have been dropped around the zipline behind you. Climb up the small cliff and then work your way to the top of the zipline, where you'll find your first bundle of materials. You'll need 8 in total, with a second at the top of the other zipline to your left.

The remaining 6 will be at the top of every NC Zipline in the Corel Region and the ones you've already found will be marked off on your map. You'll find the locations below:

Deliver the Refurbishment Materials

Now you have all the materials, go back to Costa Falls and give them to the Johnnys.

Track Down the Johnnys at the Factory Ruins

Next, you'll need to help out more Johnnys at the Factory Ruins. You'll find them just to the left of the NC-4 Zipline when looking at your map.

Look for the Republic-Era Factory

You must now complete enough Lifesprings in the Corel Region to unlock Excavation Intel 1: Valve Factory Ruins. Return to where the two Johnnys were and search the factory for the Boiler Valve. This opens up the item in the Item Transmuter, which you'll need to craft using 2 Iron Ore, 2 Zinc Ore, and 2 Amethyst.

Deliver the Boiler Valve

Return to the Johnnys at the factory and give them the Boiler Valve.

Track Down the Johnny in the Desert

There's one more Johnny that needs your help, and they're southeast of Clamshell Beach.

Steal and Deliver the Tonberry King's Crown

As your last proper action for this Side Quest, you need to find and defeat the Tonberry King. To discover its location, you need to find and complete all 6 Lifesprings in the Corel Region. Having done so, Classified Intel: Heavy Lies the Crown will be marked on your map. This is where you'll find the Tonberry King. Return to Johnny with the crown once you've beaten it.

Report to Johnny

Head back to Johnny in Costa del Sol at his hotel to complete the Side Quest. Doing so unlocks the Treasure Trove feature at Johnny's Seaside Inn, which you'll need to complete for a series of Trophies. Refer to our All Treasure Trove Requirements at Johnny's Seaside Inn for more information.
