Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth: Victim of Circumstance Walkthrough

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth: Victim of Circumstance Walkthrough

Victim of Circumstance can be claimed off the Community Noticeboard in Cosmo Canyon. It comes with a recommendation of Level 45.

The Traveler's Request

Head down into the Cosmo Canyon basin to meet with a traveller that it turns out Yuffie knows. He wants you to slay a monster, but there's some prep work to it first.

Obtain a Vibrodetector

You need to use a Vibrodetector to find the monster, which is obtained from the Moogle Emporium. This item unlocks when you reach merchant rank 4. You increase your rank by completing the Moogle Intel in each Region. You'll need 3 Moogle Medals to purchase it.

Track Down the Fiend

Use the Vibrodetector to find the monster underground. When the device bleeps with two blue rings surrounding Cloud, continue in that direction. You'll need to complete the process of finding the Gigaworm underground 3 times before you can actually face it and defeat it. Doing so completes the Side Quest.
