You unlock Shoulder Guard of Survival at the beginning of the game, during Surviving Fimbulwinter. The official description reads: "Thick, sturdy armour that was built to endure Fimbulwinter."

Fortified Husk Cuirass

You unlock Fortified Husk Cuirass at the beginning of the game, during Surviving Fimbulwinter. The official description reads: "Armour built from the husks of some of the sturdiest creatures in all the Nine Realms. It provides the wearer maximum coverage, increasing their Defence."

• Defender's Riposte: Blocks and parries have a moderate Luck chance to empower Kratos' next attack to strike with a damaging explosion.

You unlock Shoulder Guard of Undying Pyres by completing The Crucible challenges in Muspelheim. The official description reads: "A lightweight but unbelievably sturdy armour that burns with the embers of Muspelheim."

• Protective Momentum: When the Permafrost, Immolation, or Maelstrom skill gauge is fully charged, Kratos gains a shield that prevents the first hit taken from resetting the gauge.

• Empowered Range: Holding L2 for several seconds grants a buff increasing all Ranged Attack damage for a short duration.
