Hogwarts Legacy: Charles Rookwood's Trial Walkthrough

To start this second trial, you need to travel southwest of Hogwarts to Rookwood Castle. It's just west of Feldcroft, so use a Floo Flame to get there quickly. As you make your way into the castle, we recommend casting Disillusionment to get by enemies easier. Then, to get inside, use Wingardium Leviosa on the interactive box and then Levioso to secure it in place so you can climb up. After dealing with the enemies in the yard and climbing the castle walls into a room with a magical door blocking your path, shoot the three symbols to open it. To the right of the next area is Charles Rookwood's portrait, so talk to him. You can then connect with the ancient magic on the floor to begin the trial.

In the first main room, you must position the interactive object next to the path to the left when you're in the blue version. Then return to the red version and you'll be able to climb up and progress. In the next room across the bridge, shoot the symbol on the wall through the magic gateway and it'll turn. This allows you to pull the block blocking your path away. The next area will be a quick combat encounter, then investigate the ancient magic. The next room requires you to pull the climbable block through the portal and then use it to climb up to the ledge above, then spinning it to progress.

Across the bridge will be a boss battle where you must fight enemies across two realms, using the doorway in the middle to transport between them. After that comes the main event. Once the boss is dead, cross the newly formed bridge to interact with the Pensieve Memory. After that, return to the Map Chamber and talk to Percival and Professor Fig to complete the Main Quest.
