Where are all the Vista Points in Horizon Forbidden West? How do you find the locations for each Vista Point? Vista Points are spots across the map in Horizon Forbidden West that offer a brief glimpse at the Old World. As part of our Horizon Forbidden West guide, we will be showing you where all the Vista Points are, as well as where to go to solve them.

Horizon Forbidden West: How Do You Solve Vista Points?

Vista Points are a little more involved in Horizon Forbidden West than they were in the first game. When you reach a Vista Point on the map, you will be given a partial hologram of the Vista Point, and you'll need to line it up with somewhere in the surrounding area to complete the image. To view the hologram, use your Focus. When it lines up with the correct spot, you'll solve the Vista Point, and be able to view it whenever you like.

Horizon Forbidden West: All Vista Points Locations

Below, we're going to show you all the Vista Points in Horizon Forbidden West, including where you need to go to line them up. There are 9 Vista Points in total, represented on the map by an eye-shaped symbol. Note: You will not be able to find Vista Point: Isle of Spires until you have found and completed the other 8 Vista Points first.

Vista Point: The Daunt

In the middle of The Daunt is the first Vista Point in the game. It's very close by to Relic Ruins: The Daunt. The location you need to find is just a few metres away from the icon on the map. Here's where you will need to stand in order to line up the Vista Point:

Vista Point: Plainsong

To the west of Plainsong is a Vista Point just as you head in into the mountainous region. It's a little further up from Rebel Outpost: Plainsong. Here's where you need to get to in order to line up the Vista Point (be aware of Skydrifters in the area):

Vista Point: Scalding Spear

Just east of Scalding Spear in the hills, you'll find this Vista Point. Here's where you will need to stand in order to line up the Vista Point (be careful, as it's right next to a Sunwing Site):

Vista Point: The Stillsands

This Vista Point is located to the west of Camp Nowhere. Here's where you will need to stand in order to line up the Vista Point:

Vista Point: Dunehollow

This Vista Point is located within Dunehollow, an area of the game you'll first visit as part of the Main Quest, The Sea of Sands. Upon returning to this area, you will find this Vista Point. Here's where you will need to stand in order to line up the Vista Point:

Vista Point: The Memorial Grove

West of Scalding Spear, up a mountain trail, you'll find this Vista Point. Here's where you will need to stand in order to line up the Vista Point:

Vista Point: The Long Coast

This Vista Point is found on the western coast of the mainland, very close to The Greenhouse. Here's where you need to stand to line up the Vista Point:

Vista Point: Shrouded Heights

This Vista Point is found on the Isle of Spires, off the northern coast. After finding the tower, you will find this particular Vista Point underwater. Here's where you need to go to line up the Vista Point:

This final Vista Point will not show on your map until you have completed all the above Vista Points first. Once it unlocks, you will find it near the location where you first enter the Isle of Spires, just north of the Boat to the Mainland. It is nearby a huge tower. Horizon Forbidden West: Vista Points Reward

After finding and completing all the Vista Points, a new location will be marked on the map. If you go to this location, you'll find a safe. This safe contains the following rewards (all of which can be sold for Metal Shards):

  • 1x Ancient Sculpture
  • 2x Ancient Metal Eye
  • 1x Ancient Necklace
  • 1x Ancient Chimes
  • 1x Bronze Ingot
