Marvel's Spider-Man 2: No Escape

No Escape is the 25th Mission in the Main Story of Marvel's Spider-Man 2, and stars Peter going to see what's up with Miles. This Mission is exclusive to Peter. As part of our Marvel's Spider-Man 2 guide, we're going to reveal everything you need to know about No Escape.

Walkthrough

Peter checked in on Harry in I'm the Hero Here, so now he turns his attention to Miles and his mother Rio. Go and see her at her office in Harlem. Once you do, the perspective will switch to Miles trapped in a cage. Using the thumbstick prompts, he'll break himself out, only to find his exit covered in a laser grid. To clear a path, Pull on the two cogs on the wall. You can then drop down and begin working through the prison. Follow the path until you find three Hunters; take them out then go through the door with a Venom Punch.

It turns out Kraven has more laser traps for you to deal with. Time your jumps correctly to get across the two gaps while avoiding the lasers, and then Miles will become trapped in a room that's being filled with gas. You now need to power the three generators in the room. There's one to your immediate left, a second behind the rubbish on the right, and then one more on the ceiling. Charging all three opens the door.

Beat all the Hunters in the next room, then zip upstairs and go through one of the two holes next to the blast door and crawl through. You'll eventually happen upon two more rooms packed full of Hunters, which you'll need to deal with to progress. In the room with all the suits of armour in the middle, you can exit by smashing through the glass above the door with lions on them.

On the other side, you'll be greeted by Hunters making way for you. When you exit, Miles will come up against none other than Mister Negative. This is a boss fight split across three phases, with the first being pretty easy. If you've made it this far, nothing Mister Negative throws at you should prove particularly difficult. Parry when you get a red alert, and use your Skills as much as possible.

In the second phase, Mister Negative will gain a shield and a whole host of new powers. He'll throw these at you, but while you're dodging them, you'll be charging up your own. When you get one of your Evolved Venom abilities back, use it on him to lower the shield. This leaves Mister Negative open to damage once more. His attacks henceforth will be more powerful and used more regularly, so get used to dodging and Parrying the correct ones. There'll be a move you need to jump up into the air for, which has an obvious tell but takes some getting used to. The third phase is just like the second one, so you needn't worry about any new attacks. Mister Negative will have a final stand where he returns behind the shield, so dodge more of his attacks and then strike when you have an Evolved Venom ability charged.

After the boss fight, Mister Negative will teleport you to another dimension of sorts with a demon inside. You've got to chase it, so swing in between the buildings until you get a Triangle prompt to attack the demon. This can take a while, so don't worry if you're still going after a few minutes.

In the next few scenes, you'll need to battle with a series of demons as Peter, Ganke, and Rio are heard from through Mister Negative. Once you've beaten all the enemies, Miles' dad will appear as a ghost, and you need to follow it. You'll reach another combat arena with more enemies spawning, and you'll get the Reverse Flux move. Use it to easily beat all the enemies around you. The Mission ends in the next cutscene.
