How Do You Beat Xu Wu in Monster Hunter Wilds?

Below, we've got everything you need to know about the Xu Wu, how to beat it, and what rewards you'll get.
- Description
- Cephalopod predators whose prey include Guardian monsters. The mucus secreted from their tentacles hardens quickly into sharp edges that resemble blades or spears, which is why some call Xu Wu the "Piercing Assassin". The sizeable mouth hidden on their underside allows them to devour even rather large prey.

Here are a few pointers on how to defeat a Xu Wu in Monster Hunter Wilds.
- Most of Xu Wu's body is a breakable or severable part, so you can't go too far wrong in terms of where you should focus. The arms are the source of most attacks, though.
- Its most dangerous attack will see it invert and charge towards you with its horrid mouth. There's a brief window before it launches where you can strike its mouth with a powerful blow, and that'll cancel the attack.
- Ice is its main elemental weakness, so take an icy weapon. Failing that, you can use ice Slinger ammo to help chip away its health.
