Resident Evil Village: All Trophies and How to Unlock the Platinum Guide 1

In this Resident Evil Village Trophy roadmap, we're going to reveal how to get the Platinum Trophy in Capcom's latest survival horror experience. As part of our Resident Evil Village guide, we are going to reveal all the Trophies as well as their descriptions and some strategies you can use to unlock them. We will also include a Trophy roadmap, which will reveal how you should approach unlocking the Platinum Trophy across a number of steps.

Resident Evil Village: How to Unlock the Platinum Trophy

It will take at least four playthroughs to unlock the Platinum Trophy due to the different requirements of a few Trophies that are tied to completing the game in various ways. We recommend five playthroughs to ensure you're fully prepared for the hardest tasks the Trophy list has. There are lots of missable Trophies that you should be sure to unlock as part of your first, comprehensive playthrough that tackles all of the side content. We will now break down our Platinum Trophy roadmap into multiple, easy to follow steps.

Resident Evil Village: Platinum Trophy Roadmap - Step One

For this first step, you should focus on enjoying the game and engaging with all of its optional content. Play the story through to completion on the Standard difficulty setting to unlock all Trophies tied to the narrative and two more for beating the game on the recommended difficulty level. You should also focus on unlocking all the missable Trophies as well as finding all of the Goats of Warding. By getting all of these wrapped up, you can focus on upgrading weapons and completing the toughest challenges in the game in future playthroughs. At the end of your first playthrough, you will also have enough CP to unlock all of the concept art and character and weapon models.

In step one, you should unlock the following Trophies: Not Lycan This..., Four Lords, That Sucked!, Got No Strings, Fish Out of Water, Up Urs!, Temporary Measures, Iron Giant Down, The Root of the Matter, Great Dad, Best Dad Ever, Crafter, Patron, Petty Thief, Repairer, Hunter, Get the Ball Rolling, Goooaaal!, Squawk Shot, When You Gotta Go..., Hooligan, Quit Hanging Around, Push Comes to Shove, Trick Shot, Strategist, Medium Rare, Fast Reflexes, Leader of the Pack, Photographer, Lucky Number 7, Mapmatician, Cynic, Heretic, Gunsmith, Tinkerer, Artisan, Bookworm, Doll Collector, Art Collector.

Resident Evil Village: Platinum Trophy Roadmap - Step Two

As we move on to our second playthrough, you should increase the difficulty level to Hardcore. This means we'll get the Trophy associated with that difficulty mode. You should also focus on killing Urias during the first Lycan attack to get the associated Trophy. Be sure to use a weapon you bought an infinite ammo mod for from the Content Unlock Shop and you should be okay. You can also now equip every gun with their customizable parts, since some are locked behind New Game+. You should also use this playthrough to further focus on upgrading the best weapons in the game.

In step two, you should unlock the following Trophies: World's Best Dad, Timber, Veteran Gunsmith.

Resident Evil Village: Platinum Trophy Roadmap - Step Three

In step three, it's time to put your skills to the ultimate test. We're going to increase the difficulty to Village of Shadows. This is the hardest difficulty in the game, so be careful at all times and be sure you're armed with multiple weapons that have infinite ammo. We recommend the M1851 Wolfsbane Magnum for starters. Take this playthrough nice and slow, retreating when a fight appears too tough for you.

In step three, you should unlock the following Trophy: Universe's Best Dad.

Resident Evil Village: Platinum Trophy Roadmap - Step Four

With the hardest difficulty mode out of the way, we can now focus on the Trophies that test you in other ways. We're going to combine three Trophies into one playthrough. We're going to beat the game in under three hours, use four or less recovery items, and spend less than 10,000 Lei. You should be very well versed in the layout of every area in the game by now and understand what every objective is asking you to do, so speedrunning the game in less than three hours shouldn't be much a problem now. You should set the difficulty level to Casual so that using very few recovery items won't be a problem, and since you'll have infinite ammo for the best guns as well as all upgrades, you shouldn't need to use the Duke whatsoever.

In step four, you should unlock the following Trophies: Don't Trust That Snake Oil, Dashing Dad, Frugal Father.

Resident Evil Village: Platinum Trophy Roadmap - Step Five

In this final step, you will complete one more playthrough of the game and then move on to The Mercenaries mode. Our final playthroughs asks us to beat the game using only melee weapons. That's a tough ask in itself, so be sure to set the difficulty level to Casual to give yourself a chance of staying alive. Once that's done, you'll need to get a combo of 30 in The Mercenaries and then achieve an S rank on all stages. Once you've finished, the Platinum Trophy will unlock.

In step five, you should unlock the following Trophies: Ethan Winters, Knives Out, Combo King, Legendary Cowboy.

Crafter

Resident Evil Village: How to Unlock the Crafter Trophy Guide 2

Bronze Trophy: Craft an item in the Crafting menu.

To access the Crafting menu, press Triangle and then scroll over once by pressing R1. Now, you just need to craft one item and the Trophy will unlock. The simplest method would be to use a Herb and Chem Fluid to make a First Aid Med.

Patron

Resident Evil Village: How to Unlock the Patron Trophy Guide 3

Bronze Trophy: Purchase something from the Duke in the story.

The Duke is the very large man you will repeatedly bump into with a horse and wagon. Interact with him by pressing X, and then select the Supplies tab in The Duke's Emporium. Buy anything you fancy and the Trophy will unlock.

Petty Thief

Bronze Trophy: Unlock a simple lock with a lockpick.

As you explore the numerous environments in the game, you're very likely to come across draws and chests you can't open without a key. You'll never actually find the key, but a lockpick also works. Every so often, you'll find lockpicks as you rummage through rooms and hallways. When you do, return to wherever you found a locked drawer (they are marked on your map upon discovery) and use the lockpick to open it. The Trophy will unlock the first time you do this.

Repairer

Bronze Trophy: Combine a treasure into its complete form.

Please refer to our Resident Evil Village: How to Combine a Treasure into Its Complete Form guide for the solution to this Trophy.

Hunter

Bronze Trophy: Hunt an animal during the story.

Resident Evil Village: How to Unlock the Hunter Trophy Guide 4

Fish, Pigs, Goats, and Chickens can be found throughout The Village area and beyond. They drop Fish, Meat, and Poultry supplies if you kill them, which can be used to make meals at the Duke. The Trophy will unlock the first time you kill an animal in the story. The map in the image above details just some of the places you can find animals.

Get the Ball Rolling

Bronze Trophy: Solve a Labyrinth.

Labyrinths are puzzles you solve by manoeuvering a small through a sort of obstacle course. You must first find the ball and then take it to the Labyrinth it is connected to. The first Labyrinth puzzle you will come across is in the save room in Castle Dimitrescu. Find the ball associated with it and the Trophy will unlock once you've completed the Labyrinth puzzle.

Goooaaal!

Bronze Trophy: Move the ball from the Winterses' bedroom into the study.

This could be the very first Trophy in the game you unlock, but you'd have to know about it ahead of time. At the very start of the game, when you're carrying Rose up to bed, you will enter the bedroom and put Ethan's daughter to bed. When you first enter the room, there's a large yellow ball directly in front of you. Position yourself so that the ball will enter the study when you make contact with it — you may need a second kick from a better angle to get it through the study door. Once the ball is in there, the Trophy will unlock.

Squawk Shot

Bronze Trophy: Shoot down five flying crows in the story.

Every so often, crows will land on the ground in groups around bodies in The Village area. You'll likely hear them before you see them. When this happens, you must scare them so that they take flight and then shoot as many as you can. Once five crows have been killed, the Trophy will unlock.

When You Gotta Go...

Bronze Trophy: Open the door to every outhouse in the village in a single playthrough.

Please refer to our Resident Evil Village: All Outhouse Locations in the Village guide for the solution to this Trophy.

Hooligan

Bronze Trophy: Break every breakable window in Castle Dimitrescu in a single playthrough.

There are 19 breakable windows to find in Castle Dimitrescu. You can track how many you've found so far in the Challenges tab in the pause menu.

Quit Hanging Around

Resident Evil Village: How to Unlock the Quit Hanging Around Trophy Guide 5

Bronze Trophy: Shoot down a Soldat hanging from the production line in the Factory.

Once you reach Heisenberg's Factory, equip the F2 Rifle and aim it at one of the production lines which run across the gigantic open space in the area. Simply shoot one of the Soldats and you'll unlock the Trophy once it falls off.

Push Comes to Shove

Bronze Trophy: Push away an enemy after guarding in the story.

You can guard in the game by holding L1. When close to an enemy, let it attack you and guard to negate most damage. Occasionally, Ethan will also push the enemy away afterwards. Repeat this action until Ethan does so and the Trophy will unlock.

Trick Shot

Bronze Trophy: Defeat an enemy from long range with the sniper rifle in the story.

For this Trophy, you'll need the F2 Rifle equipped. When you spot an enemy you think you can kill at a distance, aim for the head and take your shot. If that doesn't kill them, shoot again. Once the enemy is dead, the Trophy will unlock.

Strategist

Bronze Trophy: Defeat at least three enemies with one attack in the story.

You're going to want to use a Pipe Bomb here and round up as many enemies as you can. Enemies regularly spawn in their numbers so if you can lead them to a tight space where you're confident they will all be killed by the blast, throw a Pipe Bomb and the Trophy will unlock once they're dead.

Medium Rare

Bronze Trophy: Set fire to a Moroaica in the story.

Please refer to our Resident Evil Village: How to Set Fire to a Moroaica guide for the solution to this Trophy.

Fast Reflexes

Bronze Trophy: Knock a flaming arrow out of the sky with a close combat weapon in the story.

You will start to regularly encounter Lycans equipped with flaming bows and arrows once you reach the Stronghold area. When you do, equip your knife and time a slash correctly so that it connects with the flaming arrow. It'll most likely take you a few tries to get the timing right, so bring along some First Aid Meds to make sure you don't die. When you time it correctly and knock the flaming arrow out of the sky, the Trophy will unlock.

Leader of the Pack

Bronze Trophy: Take down the Varcolac Alfa in the story.

Please refer to our Resident Evil Village: How to Take Down the Varcolac Alfa guide for the solution to this Trophy.

Timber

Bronze Trophy: Defeat Urias during the first Lycan attack when you enter the village.

The first Lycan attack this Trophy refers to is when Ethan finds a radio in a house and is then ambushed by lots of enemies. Urias will eventually spawn by the river, and you need to defeat the monster during this part of the game. We strongly recommend doing this on Casual difficulty with infinite ammo for the M1851 Wolfsbane Magnum. Take Urias down and the Trophy is yours.

Photographer

Bronze Trophy: Use Photo Mode.

This is another Trophy you can unlock as soon as you begin the game. Simply pause by pressing the Options button and then select Photo Mode. The Trophy will unlock immediately afterwards.

Lucky Number 7

Bronze Trophy: Have 777, 7,777, or 77,777 Lei in your possession in the story.

Once you've completed the game for the first time, head into the Content Unlock Shop in the Bonuses menu and buy the WCX rifle. Then reload an old save and buy the weapon in question along with its ammo crafting recipe from the Duke.

Now you must have exactly 0 Lei in your inventory for this to work. Therefore, buy as much as you can from the Duke and then even things out by buying and selling stacks of Pistol Ammo. Once you reach 0 Lei, craft 111 Rifle Ammo and then sell it to the Duke. Each bullet sells for 7 Lei, so handing over 111 of them will give you 777 Lei. This unlocks the Trophy.

Mapmatician

Bronze Trophy: Complete the village map.

You must defog the entire map by visiting every reachable place in the game. This Trophy will unlock when you start playing as a different character.

Cynic

Bronze Trophy: Destroy a Goat of Warding.

Please refer to the Heretic Trophy description for the solution to this Trophy.

Heretic

Bronze Trophy: Destroy All the Goats of Warding.

Please refer to our Resident Evil Village: All Goat of Warding Locations guide for the solution to this Trophy.

Gunsmith

Bronze Trophy: Equip a gun with a customizable part.

Please refer to the Veteran Gunsmith Trophy description for the solution to this Trophy.

Veteran Gunsmith

Bronze Trophy: Equip every gun with their customizable parts in the story.

Please refer to our Resident Evil Village: All Gun Customizable Parts Locations guide for the solution to this Trophy.

Tinkerer

Bronze Trophy: Create every type of item available in the Crafting menu.

There are 11 different items you can create in the Crafting menu. Simply make them all and the Trophy is yours.

Artisan

Bronze Trophy: Collect every crafting recipe.

There are 11 different crafting recipes in the game, and most of them can be bought from the Duke.

Bookworm

Bronze Trophy: Read every single file in the story.

There are 47 files to read throughout the game. Interact with them all and you'll unlock the Trophy.

Don't Trust That Snake Oil

Gold Trophy: Finish the story only using four or less recovery items.

We only recommend attempting this Trophy after you have already completed at least two playthroughs and have a M1851 Wolfsbane Magnum in your inventory with infinite ammo. You should also set the difficulty level to Casual. You should try to unlock this Trophy, the Dashing Dad Trophy, and the Frugal Father Trophy all at the same time.

Dashing Dad

Silver Trophy: Finish the story within 3 hours.

You should only attempt this Trophy when you have the infinite ammo mod unlocked for the M1851 Wolfsbane Magnum and a very, very good understanding of what you have to do for each and every objective. The difficulty level should also be set to Casual. The toughest part of unlocking this Trophy is streamlining your approach to make sure you don't waste any time. Learn the maps of every location and how to get tasks done in the shortest possible time. You should try to unlock this Trophy, the Don't Trust That Snake Oil Trophy, and the Frugal Father Trophy at the same time.

Frugal Father

Silver Trophy: Finish the story without spending more than 10,000 Lei.

If you already have a few weapons in your inventory that have the infinite ammo mod activated, this Trophy should be fairly easy. You won't need to really buy anything at all except for a few Health Med Kits here and there. You should try to unlock this Trophy, the Don't Trust That Snake Oil Trophy, and the Dashing Dad Trophy all at the same time.

Knives Out

Gold Trophy: Not including some boss fights, finish the story using nothing but close combat weapons.

Close combat weapons are essentially melee weapons, meaning you have to beat the entire game using Ethan's knife or Chris' Karambit Knife. The only boss fight where you would be allowed to use a gun would be Heisenberg's since you're constrained to the Self-propelled Artillery vehicle.

Combo King

Bronze Trophy: Get a combo of at least 30 during The Mercenaries.

High combos are earned by defeating enemies at a rapid pace. Continue to do this until you reach a combo of 30.

Legendary Cowboy

Silver Trophy: Achieve at least an S rank on all stages in The Mercenaries.

Eight stages make up The Mercenaries mode, and you must get an S rank on all of them.

Doll Collector

Silver Trophy: View all character and weapon models.

You can unlock character and weapon models by spending CP in the Content Unlock Shop. You'll have earned more than enough CP during your first playthrough, so buy them all under the "Figures" heading and then view them as part of the Bonuses menu.

Art Collector

Silver Trophy: View all concept art.

You can unlock concept art by spending CP in the Content Unlock Shop. You'll have earned more than enough CP during your first playthrough, so buy them all under the "Concept Art" heading and then view them as part of the Bonuses menu.
