So it’s pretty much just extra armour and weapons?
@kingbreww A lot of it is, yeah. But there are loads of quests as well, and new locations.
I have to say, well bloody done on this list, must have taken ages!
The Spell Knight Armour and Adventurer's Backpack will be must-haves for me.
I just added the Anniversary upgrade to my cart for €19.99 and hit purchase.
When I checked my email receipt I had been charged for the upgrade, plus €54.99 for the Anniversary Edition Full Game.
I'm pretty sure I didn't add both items to my cart, and the final price at purchase was €19.99.
It's an easy fix - I haven't downloaded anything so by law I can just request a refund. No problems.
But, did anyone else have this happen?
@munstre none of these are graphics mods. They all extra content - e.g. items, characters, quests, game mechanics etc.
I haven't checked but I assume there'll still be room for free mods (some of which may also involve items, quests, etc. it's just that these are what Bethesda consider "curated premium mods" as it were), including graphical improvements
They freaking got me again. Sold.
So is this version mod enabled and have Sony removed their ridiculous no outside assets allowed nonsense?
@vapidwolf Nope, it's the exact same game as Special Edition — limited mod support included. Only difference is you get all this Creation Club stuff bundled in.
@vapidwolf unfortunately not mod enabled yet. Sure it'll only be a matter of time. Just play the Special Edition and add hundreds of mods, works amazing and there's some great graphical and performance related ones
Idk why the creation tool is behind a paywall. It isn't like Bethesda made these, they are made by other players. It always pissed me off...
Does the game have all these club content installed (and enabled) by default? Does play the game with all the club content disable trophy?
@Tencho2010 I can't speak about mods but I upgraded and have the club stuff and have popped a few trophies.
@NomNom They're made by modders but Bethesda paid for them. They're basically 'official' mods, but as far as I know, they all have to be tested and added to the game by Bethesda to ensure everything's compatible.
Bought the upgrade. Started after work but only got to the sleeping bear part in the intro because I'm a bit tired. Looking forward to experiencing all the creation stuff. I used the back pack one and a pet one when I played the last version but not much else. Using the survival mode should make the game feel pretty different.
@Tencho2010 No, they're not installed by default. You have to go to the Creation Club on Skyrim's main menu. If you own Anniversary Edition, every Creation Club DLC should show up as 'owned'. Then you can go to the 'purchased' tab and click 'download all'. It'll install all of them and they'll be in your game the next time you play.
And no, the Creation Club stuff doesn't disable Trophies, unlike regular mods.
@KingPev Ill stick to the xbox version then until Sony decide to remove this lack of support for outside assets
@MetalGear_Yoshi if the campsite mod is the same one thats been around for years its great
@vapidwolf No outside asserts sadly still but the PS4/PS5 version does still have some pretty great mods there especially the graphical mods what do a better job of making Skyrim look "current gen" then Bethesda does.
@ShogunRok new quests that aren’t on the special edition?
@kingbreww Technically yes. The Anniversary Edition unlocks all the Creation Club content automatically, which includes multiple DLCs that have only just been released alongside it.
You can still buy all of the Creation Club stuff separately through Special Edition — but if you want everything, it's much more expensive than upgrading to the Anniversary Edition.
@ShogunRok ok thanks for the info man 👌
@Shepherd_Tallon Hi, just wondering if you got your refund?
@KidBoruto They haven't replied yet, but as I never started the download it shouldn't be a problem. Hopefully.
I am still waiting for our lord and saviour Todd Howard to release Creation Engine remasters of Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas for last and next-gen consoles, Switch and PC.
Especially if they have Creation Club content outside of the Switch (since Skyrim Switch doesn't have Creation Club, nor does it get the Anniversary Edition content, it's basically the Legendary Edition but with some of the extra enhancements from the Special Edition and also exclusive Zelda crossover items).
It would especially be great so that Team PlayStation can finally play Morrowind. And that the Switch can get a Fallout game that isn't the Shelter spinoff.
Congrats on getting highlighted in the release trailer.
I was hoping this update would of added HDR to the game. Would look so good with it.
Absolutely superb article. I've bookmarked the page to use as a reference point for now and the future. Including the pictures to get instant quest start points is a massive help here well done
@Shepherd_Tallon Fingers crossed it works out for you!
@KidBoruto Thanks! 😊
@KidBoruto FYI, I got the refund.
I'm not sure how it happened in the first place, but they've sent the money back now so no harm done.
@Shepherd_Tallon Glad it all worked out!
bleh, can we just get a new elder scrolls already, damn
What are they doing? Grab the game on pc and download as many as free mods you wish and enjoy. I've beaten skyrim both on ps3 and pc. The menu and item weight on the ps3 version was so annoying that I regret my time spent on that. For some games with huge community support, the pc is the definite way to enjoy
🤦 maybe if they put all this energy in to elderscrolls 6....
@Hydra_Spectre I've waited years for them to do this but at this point it's never going to happen, as for these mods they are good for console players but pc is far more adaptable with how many mods it has, there are still free mods available, played for too many hours to count so I've had my fill of Skyrim.
@2here2there likewise what i said, there are many free mods available, even for the anniversary edition which I have on pc, and yes I've played Skyrim on, PS3, PS4, PSVR, and PC, so I'm exhausted from Skyrim for the foreseeable future 😂😂😂
