The Last of Us 1: Escape the City Walkthrough

Watch the cutscene with Sam and Henry following the Financial District. It's good to see some friendly faces at last!

Training Manual #1: Molotov Construction

After the cutscene, loot the supplies from the apartment and grab the Training Manual named Molotov Construction from the kitchen counter. Once you're done, regroup with Sam and Henry and head down stairs.

Shiv Door #1

After the first flight of stairs, there's a Shiv Door for a room named 201. Open it up and loot the supplies inside, including the Supplements on the kitchen counter and the master bedroom.

Comic #1: Deep Phase

In the master bedroom of the apartment behind the Shiv Door, you'll find a Comic named Deep Phase on the desk next to the computer. The layout of the house is a little different in The Last of Us and The Last of Us Remastered, so you'll find the Comic on a chair next to a game console there.

Continue to follow Sam and Henry down the stairs and into the toy shop on the ground floor. Out the back there are three bandits, so dispatch of them and then climb up the truck onto the roof. Unfortunately, you'll be ambushed by even more bandits up here, but you know what to do.

Climb across to where the bandits came from and turn on your torch because it's dark in here.

Firefly Pendant #1: Rios' Firefly Pendant

Before you head through the doors that Henry unlocks, head inside the men's bathroom on the left-side of the corridor. In the far cubicle, in the corner, you'll find a Firefly Pendant named Rios' Firefly Pendant on the toilet seat.

Artefact #1: Trial Note

Head through the doors that Henry unlocks and go past all the desks to the conference room on the other side. On the floor, in the corner, you'll find an Artefact named Trial Note.

Grab some Supplements from the kitchen counter, and then wait for Henry to unlock the door to the CEO's office. It's time to rest up before you escape the city.

Once you're woken up by Ellie, follow Henry out of the office and down the stairs. He'll open the door and it's time to crouch down and deal with the bandits, who run a skeleton crew overnight.

There are a couple of bandits crowded around a campfire. Take the one on the left and Henry will deal with the one on the right, following your lead. Head out of the building to the side.

There's a big search light ahead, so take cover behind the concrete roadblocks to remain hidden from it. Work your way around the left-hand side, using cars and buildings to safely sneak your way to where the search light is. Once you get to the bottom of the search light, you should be able to see a generator just below it. Turn it off to unlock the Lights Out Trophy.

Once you kill the search light, more bandits will come to investigate. So find a good hiding spot and get ready to deal with them. You can choose to go loud here if you like, or just sit tight and pay attention to their patterns. Whatever option you take, you're going to need to kill them all. Heal up and go through the big metal doors. You will get ambushed pretty quickly, but Henry will do a good job taking out the bandit.

Boost Henry up onto the half ladder on the truck, triggering a cutscene. After you're abandoned, lift up the garage door immediately to your left and rush to the safety of the other side.

You're in an Irish pub with a bunch of bandits inside. Let loose on them, and then head towards the mall entrance. There's a cart in the way, so grab it with triangle and pull it. Then head through the front door and back outside.

Once you're outside, you're going to need to run. You'll be chased by the Humvee but keep pushing forwards to the bridge. Jump into the waters and prepare yourself to be reunited with Henry and Sam, where you'll tackle the Sewers.
