Where to Pre-Order Marvel's Spider-Man 2 PS5 Console and DualSense Controller

I am going to buy the Panels and the Dual Sense Control Pad. Really happy that Sony went with the Option to sell these separately as I would hate to buy a £500+ console again to receive the Collectors Edition design and also to take away from someone wanting to buy this edition as the first console they are purchasing! I have also pre ordered the Collectors Edition of the game, so it’s going to be an expensive release for myself and I am very excited to play the game!! Hopefully Sony do a few more panel releases going forward like this, would really like to have a Naughty Dog inspired release or a God of War theme!

I really want that controller. Hopefully it's not like the Hogwarts LE controller that was gone within seconds and then posted to eBay a few minutes later for $200.

Got a feeling the dualsense controller will be hard to get hold of and scalped. The Hogwarts Legacy dualsense lasted about 30 mins on the UK store and I got it 10 mins after the launch time. I think this controller will go much quicker.

I just preordered the Spider-man 2 panels/dualsenee as my ps5 needs a new coat. Poor thing has been wearing the same white coat since the UK launch! I also got the collectors edition on preorder too. My hype level is over 9000!

Now that I have the Edge, I'm a little "sad" that I probably won't be getting any of those fancy controllers ever again. I usually did not like the PS variants of controllers in the past and always thought Xbox did a much better job with that but that one right here...Man, this is a beauty.

I might get the DualSense if they don't sell out in the next few weeks. I don't exactly need a 5th one but oh well

Console and controller ordered, can finally sell on my 500 Million Edition, it's certainly served me well over the last 5 years that's for sure but I won't miss that Jet Engine sound.

Fyi for anyone buying a PS5 in the UK, the price drop has gone live at Smyth's/Game/Argos to clear down the disc ver. of the console. Price now £399.99. Make the most as soon they will sell the digital console for £389 and make you buy the disc drive as an add on! (Hence why no price drop on the digital)

Normally I'd post something cynical about another way for Sony to get money out of consumers, but that console! It looks gorgeous! Probably the best "limited edition" console design I've seen!

Managed to get the Dualsense on Playstation direct. Havent been able to find it anywhere else in the UK, so very glad i got that ordered this morning.

I justified an extra pad (this will be my 4th) by claiming it was for my son, but i know i'll end up using it most.

I'm still disappointed. i missed out on the God of War pad (which i still think is nicer) - so im glad i snagged this one

People already scalping the controller for 120 pounds on ebay. I give up on humanity 😖

@Marquez I usually say aesthetics do not matter and now I'm sitting here like: Nah, the standard white plates match the charging station better.

I was genuinely disgusted by the design of the PS5 when I first saw it. Now I'm going to be gutted when Sony change to a slim/pro model. ☹️

I don't even play spiderman (head swims with all that swinging),
but god dam that's a great special edition.
I'd buy the controller, but I've got 4 dual sense already, and as I bought the Nacon Daija fighting stick last month, my wife has put her foot down. Divorce or a spiderman controller? Reluctantly, I'll keep the house

I'm hoping to pick up a controller and the covers, but we'll see if I'm successful. Scalpers are scum.

I was a dev working on Dugeon Keeper 2 when my wife married me, and she'd spent nearly a decade coming round my flat with 'the pack' for gaming sessions prior to that, so she knew what she was getting! Fortunately, it was her suggestion to get a second ps5 so we could both play in the front room, but she hates xbox controllers so its still only one series X. For now!
If I hadnt just bought a £200 fighting stick 3 weeks ago, she might even had agreed to another dualsense... I know when not to push it

Infuriating. Wouldn't let me press Place Order for controller just 1 minute in. US.

I got both the controller and disc plates on U.S. Direct. They went live 10 minutes early.

They’ve done a great job with this design-wise but I’m gonna hold out for the pro/slim

@redd214 I got one from Best Buy. Playstation Direct still wouldn't let me place the order for whatever reason. The screen would flash white for a split second and nothing else would happen. Weird, but at least I snagged it.

Got the controller, but not the covers. I recently got black covers for my PS5, so not too bothered. Still, if they get more and I get a chance, I’ll do it.

I managed to get two controllers, but did not even see the disc-edition console covers for sale. They only showed up as "unavailable" for me. I see the controllers are still available, which is nice.

My wife rarely plays my Xbox or PS, but does like her Switch lite i bought her. She is really good online in Mario Kart and played Animal crossing like crazy. When i do ask her to try a game with me, she don’t like how big the Dual sense is for her to reach all the buttons without strain, so she likes the Xbox controller of the two better. Which brings me to my point, i love everything about the PS5 but the controller. After a hour my hands just hurt reaching the triggers from the low thumb sticks. It’s chubby in ways that i wish they could revise it into a slimmer model. If they had that i would buy more 3rd party games on PS5. I am not a Marvel guy very much so the Spider man edition won’t get me. But the slim and Pro models will i am sure. I do have the black plates on and it makes it look a lot smaller than the white. So i do like that.

I’ve been a fan of things and I’ve had money to burn in the past, but even if that were the case now w/ these items I’d still have to pass for a couple of reasons.

First, any game bundled w/ a console, especially a voucher for a digital code that you need to redeem and then download the game itself, should offer a discount on the price, so $500 console bundled w/ a code for a $70 game, that releases 2 months after the console, should be $550 tops, not $600. For $600 I’d expect a 2TB SSD to justify the extra cost.

Second, there have been rumours for months now of a new slim digital model releasing later this year for less money. And this themed console bundle releasing nearly 2 months before the game really has me thinking it could launch sometime between those 2 dates, Sept 1 and Oct 20, and Sony is using this to offload obsolete merchandise.

So yeah it’s nice, but the cost and the timing would give me pause. Though obviously if you don’t have a PS5 yet and you’ve been waiting for this bundle to get it, I get it, I waited for the Super Mario Odyssey bundle to buy our Switch, but I’d be worried about my regret. Our PS5 is horizontal in the stand under our tv, so I can’t see it anyway.

I’m very grateful supply for the system is good. I was able to snag one without waiting in que. I’ve been waiting to get a PS5 for Spider-Man 2 and was hoping they would have a limited edition system… and the wait was well worth it.

It may be worth noting in the article you get the pre-order bonuses along with that digital copy of Spider-Man 2 in the bundle.

I'm sure this has been mentioned but I see the controller is in stock on Sony's site.
