Quests

Inter-Knot Level
As you increase the Inter-Knot Level, you'll earn rewards for each milestone. This includes denominations of Polychrome. If you need more information, you can find out How to Increase Inter-Knot Level through the link.
Achievements
Achievements can be viewed by pressing
> Achievements. Often these will include simple gameplay or progression tasks, with rewards ranging from 5 Polychrome all the way up to 20 Polychrome. Complete the challenges and then claim the rewards for bonus currency.Primers
Primers are found in the Compendium by pressing L2 > Cross/X. These are introductory gameplay tasks designed to help you progress through the beginning of the game. Once you finish a set of Primers, you'll get a Trial Reward, which includes Polychrome.
Daily Check-In
Up to three days per month, you'll be able to earn 20 Polychrome for completing the daily check-in. However, you'll need to have progressed the check-in on previous days to get the Polychrome reward. You can find out How to Do the Daily Check-In through the link.
Codes
Codes will regularly be released by HoYoverse which often include small denominations of Polychrome. While we can't guarantee which codes will be available and when, we are keeping track of All Codes and How to Use Them through the link.
Agent Trials
A common event allows you to try out Agents before you commit to investing in their banners. You can earn 20 Polychrome for completing a trial, but you'll only earn these rewards once per banner.
Scratch Card
Everyday, on Sixth Street in New Eridu City, you can interact with the news vendor opposite Random Play. Scratching the scratch card will prompt a random result, although occasionally you will win Polychrome for your efforts.
Errands
Every day, you'll be presented with a list of errands to complete which can be found in the Compendium. These range from getting a coffee to opening the video store. You can complete the errands in around five to ten minutes if you know what you're doing, and you'll get a generous helping of Polychrome for your troubles. This obviously adds up if you repeat the tasks every day.
Shiyu Defense
Shiyu Defense works a little bit like the Memory of Chaos in Honkai: Star Rail. You can access it from the Scott Outpost, and it effectively entails a list of combat encounters with various rank tiers. To maximise your rewards in this mode, always aim for an S-Rank. You'll receive a hearty offering of Polychrome for your troubles.
How Much Does Polychrome Cost in Zenless Zone Zero?
- Polychrome can't be purchased with real money, but can be converted from Monochrome Film
Polychrome can only be earned through gameplay, and there's no way to directly purchase the currency in the game. However, it can be converted directly from Monochrome Film which can be purchased with real money. For more information on How to Get Monochrome Film, including how much it costs, click through the link.
What's the Best Way to Spend Polychrome in Zenless Zone Zero?
- You should spend it on Encrypted Master Tapes to pull for new time-limited characters
Encrypted Master Tapes are the only currency you can use to pull for time-limited characters, and therefore they're the only item you should be spending your Polychrome on. We wouldn't recommend wasting Polychrome on Master Tapes as these are the currency used to pull on the standard banner, and it's much more valuable to invest your resources into Encrypted Master Tapes instead.
You can also use Polychrome to purchase Battery Charge, which serves as stamina in the game and allows you to conduct more activities per day. However, this resource automatically replenishes over time, so we'd suggest you spend your Polychrome elsewhere.
