It had a saving grace in its level design and platforming. Sadly, pretty much every other element of the game fell short. As a shorter PSN release Damnation could have worked, but as a retail experience, sadly not. And sales conclude the game wasn't the biggest success story.
As such, Kotaku have confirmed today that the entire Blue Omega team have been laid off. Further reports from Shacknews revealed a paper trail of legal disputes and drama involving the team.
How much of an effect that had on Damnation as a game is unknown, but given the game has an average of just 35 on Metacritic, we're guessing quite a lot.
