You can't beat a good scare, but if you've beaten Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition enough times to know where all the jumpy bits are you might want to connect to the PlayStation Store where EA's Dead Space: Extraction is ready to go bump in the night.
Released yesterday in North America for $14.99, the game hit Europe today for £11.99 / €14.99. It's also available as part of the Dead Space 2: Limited Edition, out in North America yesterday and reaching Europe this Friday.
It's fully Move compatible and features two player local co-op play as well, though regrettably there's no online play, making it strictly a HD port of the original Dead Space: Extraction on Wii.
We'll have a full review of Dead Space: Extraction shortly.

this game is obtainable outside of Deadspace 2? Was not aware...As far as I understood, it was on-disc and needed to be installed separately, but the disc still needed to be inside the PS3 in order to play.
@Swerd_Murd there is a PSN download version of extraction for 14.99. for any fans of lightgun games I would say extraction is probably my new favorite. I havent played enough to fully tell but seriously when there heads fly off you know its going to be one hell of a good game. Also I like how the move wand fades in and out green in the menu screen gives it the right vibe before you play.
I just downloaded it from PSN and was smiling form ear to ear, until.... I'm starting up my PS3 with the Move controller, fires up Dead Space Exctraction, and then frustration. The title screen says push Start, and no matter what I press on the Move controller nothing works except the PS button with which I can quit the game. Even setting the Move controller to Controller 1 doesn't help. I guess the expertise in here might have a tip for me on this one?
Whoops! The USB cable for the camera was only halfly plugged into the USB port. Plugged it in now and my Move controller greeted me with a smile and it's fun colors. Finally I'm ready to enjoy a game I loved on the Nintendo Wii. Gonna be fun to see how the Move controller holds up against the Wiimote and nunchuk.
@Sleexus.... Don't feel bad, I did the same thing.
The game does indeed install off the Dead Space 2 disc. I don't see why it would require the disc after installing, but I'll confirm this for you guys later today.
OK, please enlighten me, just so I'm clear: This game, available for $15 on PSN, also comes on the Dead Space 2 disc? Is it every Dead Space 2 version, or just a limited, more expensive release?
Information time! haha
Dead Space 2 PS3 comes in two packages.
-The Collectors Edition which consist of the DS2, Extraction and a whole other bunch of goodies.
-The Limited Edition which consist of DS2 and Extraction.
So either way your getting the game and Extraction on PS3 or you can just buy Extraction on PSN.
Other note, is that if you get Extraction from Dead Space Limited Edition, the game installs on your HD and then still requires the DS2 game disc in the PS3 to play.
extraction will eventually no longer come with DS2 for free.
I played and beat extraction today and I love it to death. definitely worth $15, honestly were it me pricing it Id say it should have been $30 and only in collectors edition. I feel like EA just gave me a free game they didnt have to, and it feels good.
i'll get it with dead space too if i even do want it.
I'll be getting this and DS2 by the time MvC3 comes out. I'm happy to hear that were getting two games although for limited time for a price of one. Can't wait!
