The anticipated sequel will launch in March 2012 on PlayStation 3. The third-person shooter sends Max to São Paulo, Brazil, tasked with protecting his family.
While Max Payne 3's single-player campaign sounds like it's set to be a solitary affair, it'll be accompanied by a multiplayer component, pitched as "a compelling experience that dynamically alters maps and mode progression for all players in a match". Expect leveling, clans and load-outs.
Details are still scarce at the time of writing, but expect Rockstar to kickstart their familiar PR campaign in the coming months.
