Insomniac Games may have completed its work on the Resistance franchise, but it’s not giving up on the PlayStation platform entirely. The studio’s CEO Ted Price has taken to the PlayStation Blog this afternoon to announce Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault for the PlayStation Network.
The game – which is due out later this year – brings back the “classic third-person Ratchet & Clank camera”. It is designed to tie-in with the franchise’s 10th anniversary celebrations.
According to Price, the game is a “fun-sized Ratchet adventure” that maintains the series' “classic feel, camera, controls and weapons, while innovating and giving you a whole new way to play”. The title will also feature online play, but Insomniac is keeping quiet about specific details.
More information is expected to be revealed soon. We’re sure the game will be on display at next week's E3.

YES!
I would rather have a full Ratchet & Clank game for the vita but I guess this will suffice
can i have a vita version also?
@JavierYHL No, because it's a PS3 game.
We're pretty excited about this. The way they described it as bite-sized makes me think it will be Quest for Booty length. We got through that game WAY too quickly, but we're excited nonetheless. Maybe the multiplayer will provide replay value. Fingers crossed.
thats very sad,my ps3 is faulty...
@Squiggle55 James Stevenson (Insomniac community manager) just said on the PlayStation Blog that its "Quest of Booty length but with much more replay value". Looks like you're in luck!
@get2sammyb lol, that's pretty specific to what I needed to hear
now if only they made ratchet look normal.
@MinishMaster What do you mean look normal? I've been playing these games for years and I haven't noticed much change in his appearance. :/
Anyways, the only thing that worries me are a) the possible competitive multiplayer focus and b) the "Classic 3rd Person camera". If they mean the one for the really early Ratchet & Clank, I'd be very disappointed. That camera was more suited to platforming, not so much for shooting.
Cool. I still think that Quest for Booty is one of the better R&C games.
I heard from another site it's a co-op online mode
Woo hoo!! (Was so expecting this to be for Vita when I got in here, glad to see the PS3 hasn't been forgotten.)
So UK "QForce" on disc/PSN = US "Full Frontal Assault" on PSN only?
Why do people do stuff like this!?!?!
