PlayStation’s most popular Lombax will lay himself bare this winter, when Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault arrives in North America on 27th November. The fun size adventure will be available from both retail outlets and the PlayStation Store for $19.99. It’ll support full cross-buy compatibility, meaning you’ll only need to splash out once in order to unlock the experience on both PS3 and Vita.
The price may seem a bit steep for what’s ostensibly a mini Ratchet & Clank adventure, but Insomniac Games reckons that there’s more to the title than meets the eye. “Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault is actually bigger than [our previous downloadable title] Quest for Booty, as we’ve added tons of new features, including the new base assault and defence elements,” community manager James Stevenson explained on the PlayStation Blog. “An even bigger addition to Full Frontal Assault is the replay value we packed in with online and split-screen co-op, and online competitive modes. Most importantly, while the experience itself may be more condensed, the game quality is bursting at the seams. We’re very proud of what we’ve created.”
There’s no word on a European release date just yet, but hopefully it won’t be too far behind. This looks like the perfect game to round out the busy Christmas season.

love this game...
Man, this makes number 5 on the PS3, I think. And I just started playing Tools of Destruction. It'll be a long time before I get to this one...
Might be the first Ratchet game I get on PS3.
@irken004 You must play A Crack in Time first! It's easily one of the best games on PS3.
@get2sammyb I just saw that for like $15 on Amazon so I might
So I can just buy it once for both versions? That's pretty d*mn sweet if you ask me.
@Knux Yeah — whether you buy it at retail or digitally, you'll get both versions for one price. PlayStation All-Stars is the same!
I wish they'd make a new Ratchet game or some kind of spinoff with a new character in that universe instead of this tower defense crap.
Or a side scrolling platformer for the Vita; imagine a 2.5D Ratchet sidescroller that plays like a cross between Klonoa and Gunstar Heroes or something.
