Tecmo Koei's implementing a beginner option into the wordy Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus. The patronisingly named ‘Hero’ mode will allow ninja newbies to conquer the upcoming PlayStation Vita re-release without needing to break a sweat. Well, unless Ayane is on-screen.
The dainty difficulty will implement automatic blocking when protagonist Ryu is in a pinch. Elsewhere, the handheld upgrade will add touch-screen throwing controls, which sound, well, totally unnecessary if you ask us.
Other additions include Ninja Race – picture Canabalt but with better clothing – and a new Tag Mission mode. The pocketable port is due out on 28th February in Japan. There’s no word on a Western release, but it will almost certainly make its way overseas.

Hmm:D Im intrested if this game turns out as good as the first Ninja gaiden sigma plus on vita. I love the game but the camera frustrates &@#$#( me
If Itagaki was still there, this wouldn't have been implemented... in the traditional sense, anyway. Ryu would probably be pink instead and all gore would be replaced by rainbows. I guess that's interesting in its own right.
