Crysis 3 eluded Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance in this week’s UK sales charts, slipping past the Konami spin-off in order to steal the top spot from right under its nose. A meagre 5,500 units separated the two new releases, though it’s perhaps worth noting that Crytek’s first-person sequel was also available on PC.
Regardless, neither of the high-profile titles managed to sell as many copies as the disappointing Aliens: Colonial Marines when it topped the chart last week. The SEGA published shooter unsurprisingly slipped into fifth, while FIFA 13 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 scooped up third and fourth respectively.
Critically acclaimed PlayStation Vita exclusive Persona 4 Golden summoned a position in 32nd, while familiar favourites like Far Cry 3, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, and Assassin’s Creed III rounded out the remainder of the top ten. As always, you can peruse the full list of movers and shakers through here.
