Upgraded ports of Dakko Dakko’s popular PlayStation Minis titles Floating Cloud God Saves the Pilgrims and The Adventures of Rotating Octopus Character are set to spruce up the PlayStation Vita later this summer. Cleverly dubbed Floating Cloud God Saves the Pilgrims in HD! and The HD Adventures of Rotating Octopus Character, the titles will be completely overhauled, and will take full advantage of their parent platform’s expanded capabilities.
Both games will boast “pin-sharp visuals in combination with re-mastered chiptune soundtracks”. Trophy addicts will be delighted to learn that the re-releases will also feature a fresh set of digital trinkets, while Rotating Octopus Character will add online leaderboards to its Challenge Mode. Elsewhere, Floating Cloud God will utilise the handheld’s rear touchpad to provide “more scope for skilful play”.
"We're really happy to be bringing these games to Vita,” said producer Dan Croucher. “The redrawn and re-mastered graphics for both games look amazing on the bigger screen, and the music sounds better than ever.”
We awarded Floating Cloud God Saves the Pilgrims an impressive 8/10 in our review last year. Did you play the originals? Are you looking forward to the Vita ports? Let us know in the comments section below.

I loved Floating Cloud God on the PSP! It hooked me to the point where I would not be satisfied until I completed the game with every last Pilgrim saved. Each one wearing a most splendid hat.
In all honesty, while an HD remake will look great on the Vita, the game was pretty much perfect without any touch pad malarkey. I have a feeling adding these things will just detract from the game.
@RawShark I'm sure you'll be able to ignore them/switch them off. The addition of Trophies should get you hooked all over again.
Do u know if they these 2 games will be free like Jetpac Joyride (another addicting game)? or will they be super cheap? I had never played these 2 games.
@Sonicfan11589 No idea yet, but I'm setting up an interview with the developer so will try to find out more for you. The Minis versions were quite cheap, so I don't expect them to break the bank.
ok cool!
