Atomicom’s ace momentum-based PlayStation Mobile hit Switch Galaxy is accelerating onto the PlayStation Network. Company founder Gary Nichols confirmed the good news on Twitter overnight, though he failed to clarify whether it will launch on the PlayStation 3 or Vita. The latter seems most likely considering the game’s handheld origins, but we’ve reached out to the developer to find out for sure.
According to Nichols, the updated release will include “tons of new levels and an awesome new 3D interactive galaxy map”. For those unfamiliar with the original, it sees you controlling an automatically accelerating space ship and dodging between hazards in order to maintain your momentum. It’s simple, addictive fun, as the trailer embedded below should evidence.

This is hugely reminiscent of an F-Zero GX track called Cosmo Terminal - Trident:
The way the track splits just instantly reminded me of it.
Anyway, this looks like a lot of fun, I'm an adrenaline junky when it comes to futuristic racers!
I bought the PS Mobile version not too long ago. Great game for sure, as long as it's not ridiculously priced I'll double dip.
'I'd buy that for a dollar!' Or, maybe 3 quid...
