Shed tears no more, the previously announced Far Cry Classic now has a North American release date of 11th February. Ubisoft previously confirmed that the old-school title would hit the European PlayStation Store on 12th February. We must say, it's a bit odd that this announcement took so long, but we suppose that it's nice to know that both sides of the pond will now be able to enjoy it.

For those out of the loop, this a late conversion of the PC first-person shooter that originally deployed ten years ago. Marking its arrival on home consoles for the first time, the PlayStation 3 port will run in 720p, and will boast improved cut-scenes and an overhauled interface.

The release is all part of Ubisoft's attempt to celebrate the franchise's anniversary. In addition, there will be a bundle that will include Far Cry 2, Far Cry 3 , and Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon with a price tag of $39.99 in North America. Sadly, you'll still have to stump up an extra $9.99 for the abovementioned game. However, those in Europe will be able to buy the entire series as part of the Far Cry: Wild Expedition package for £29.99. Will you be picking up any of these titles?
