There's been a lot of speculation about the future of PlayStation 4 exclusive Deep Down, especially after publisher Capcom recently revealed Dragon's Dogma Online, another free-to-play title that's heading to Sony's newest console in Japan this year.
Depending on your perspective, the following is either going to be decent news, or relatively bad news. On the bright side, the company confirmed to Famitsu magazine that the game's still in development, but it sounds like you won't be seeing it for a long while yet.
The title's producers told the publication that the aforementioned Dragon's Dogma Online is currently the one and only priority, but we might get to see something of Deep Down later this year. To us, that sounds vaguely promising at best, but we suppose that we'll just have to wait and see.
Does Dragon's Dogma Online seem more interesting than Deep Down to you? Or have you been excited for the dungeon exploring action RPG since its reveal? Fall down into the dark and dank comments section below.

If this was Square Enix, this would mean "confirmed for the launch window of PS5," but since it's Capcom, I'm not really sure, it'll probably come out in the next year or two.
This makes me wonder why they announced deep down at the PS4 reveal event and not DD online.
@3Above I had to stop wondering what goes on into the minds of game development companies. This won't bold well for Capcom later on down the road. Deep Down could have been that foot in the door to get more people to possibly buy future capcom games, but because they are not even making this a 2nd priority, they are only crippling themselves. A few developers have really been crapping on themselves and it looks like Capcom is no different. Such a shame, but I'm not surprised by such an incompetent move from Capcom.
Spending all that time on an old game. The systems been out too long for all that. I'm ready for something new. I never even played that game on PS3. Glad I Pre-ordered The Order for PS4, new IP.
lol why am I not surprised? oh wait...its Capcom, that is why.
I hope REmake sales have finally made them see the light at the end of this dreary, messed up tunnel they've been in ever since they decided to make insane decisions.
I hope when they do release them, they release them together.
