Maxine Caulfield's angst heavy adventure Life Is Strange will continue from 24th March, developer DONTNOD announced during an EGX Rezzed panel this weekend. Also known as Tumblr: The Episodic Game β not really β the second instalment in the ongoing series promises to deal with the consequences of your actions a little more heavily.
The studio did play through 15 minutes of the upcoming chapter, but we'll let you click through here if you want to watch it β just be aware that spoilers hide on the other side. Push Square Towers is still split over this divisive title: Graham Banas criticised it for its borderline embarrassing dialogue in his review, while this author loves the high school setting.
Hopefully this upcoming episode is a little less cringe-worthy, and gets everyone onboard.

Off-topic: it's happening already. Saw two cosplayers dressed as Chloe and one as Max at Rezzed on Friday. I expect those numbers are only going to increase as the year goes on.
"Tumblr: The Episodic Game"
Not the first person to say that, didn't have fun with the demo and the leaked in game plot notes told me the ending so... no thanks.
It did still do a couple things right! I don't hate every facet of it, but man are there some issues with it in my eyes haha
I hope they rethink the dialogue.
I bought the first episode and never touched it. I have yet to play it, and I probably won't. I wasted $5 when this came out.
I watched some lets plays and yeah, this is one game I know for sure I could not get into and a lot is based on the dialogue. And in these story-heavy games you need to be able to relate to characters in some way and this game starring a teenage girl in the high school setting as the lead automatically is going to lose a chance at pulling in many male gamers because there is just nothing we can relate to.
I'm looking forward to the next chapters. I actually played this myself and liked it, not watch a playthrough vid or judged it because I'm a male.
It's a story-heavy game, the gameplay in these is secondary, so the story needs to pull me in. And the story in this does nothing for me. Not saying the game is bad, just don't see the appeal.
@LordBagardo I actually, genuinely like that about it, though. Then again, I also like John Green. xD
@JesWood13 Sorry but how can you say it's a waste of money if you haven't even played of it. Your actions in refusing to play, rather than any facet of the game itself, are what currently makes that a waste of money. Play it and either a) confirm you don't enjoy it and then go on to make a valid complaint, or b) find that it actually pleasantly surprises you, and perhaps even go on to play the rest of the series. Regardless, until you play it you have kinda forfeit the right to complain - wasted money is nobody's fault but your own if you buy something but refuse to play it.
I've not played yet so I couldn't say either way as to the quality of the game. Just saying that you're only really cheating yourself if you've paid the cash and don't even give it a whirl.
