Sony's going firmware update mad. In addition to PlayStation 4 firmware update v2.50, which is due out tomorrow, it's also announced that PlayStation Vita firmware update v3.50 will deploy at some point later this evening. This will mostly complement the next-gen console's various improvements – enabling 60 frames-per-second Remote Play, for example – but will also add in a few features of its own.
Chief among these will be accessibility options, allowing you to change the size of the handheld's text, contrast, and much more. It'll also, as previously reported, remove the Maps application, while various features from Near will be yanked as well. Meanwhile, the PlayStation Network logo will be changed, while scene search and 1080p video support will be added to the on-board Video application.
Are there any firmware features that you're desperate to be added to your Vita? Set aside some time to update in the comments section below.

I may be the only one that uses Remote Play regularly. Sometimes I want to watch sports or news on the TV or simply play PS4 games lying on the bed. Anyway most games already look good so I like the 60fps improvement. I only use it locally, without wireless router, like what the Wii U does, so there should be some improvement.
I wish it had more features to be honest. as in features like sony supporting the handheld
I love using my remote play but I've never been able to get it working that well. It always seems to freeze or go laggy until I lose connection altogether.
@belmont nope I love remote play.
Remote play has been a great addition (especially having kids), this is a welcome update!
@robisa666 it will be you Internet speed or the distance. If your in the UK fibre optic will do the job.
@noodleking1987 Yeah probably but as I play in the same room as my ps4 I doubt it's that. Can't get fibre optic in my area. It's annoying to have connection issues but still enjoy using it from time to time
@robisa666 Make sure you un-tick the "Connect Directly with PS Vita/PS TV" setting (despite what the instructions say). I used mine with a wired connection into the same switch and constantly got disconnections until I unticked this box. Now it works on the wireless upstairs without an issue.
@professorhat I'll give that a go but I'm sure I've tried everything already. Thanks for you advice anyway and will let you know if it works
@belmont How to use remote play locally without using WiFi? I've been trying to figure it out for while.
@XFsWorld I don't have Wifi in my house. I start the PS4 from the button or controller and I after that I choose Remote Play on Vita.
I jus wish for more apps, like Instagram whatsapp.... Social stuff an more exculsive gamez PLEASE!!!!!!!
Cool. Now I just need some games
I hope with the new accessibility options, I could switch X and O around as confirm and cancel. Reason being is I'm planning on buying a white Vita from Japan, and O is confirm.
If they could change the ui so I don't think I'm operating a handheld toy that would be good. The shiny pebble icons really don't belong on a Sony ps product.
All this sounds good, though I do agree with @Pipr a UI overhaul would be nice. While I personally kinda like the current one, it would be great to give the consumer more options.
XMB option for PSTV would be good.
@Belmont make sure the PS4 isn't trying to connect online using WiFi. The PS4 only has 1 WiFi radio that's used for both online functionality and Remote Play. I have my PS4 connected via WiFi and I've found that using the direct connection with Vita is awful, even in the same room. If I turn off the Internet connection on the PS4 it works just fine.
@KALofKRYPTON XMB REPRESENT!! The PSTV seriously needs a UI overhaul, it's pretty much the biggest problem with it as things are a tad clunky when using a controller.
@robisa666 are you able to use shareplay with your connection?
@noodleking1987 I've never tried to be honest.
@noodleking1987 oh also I tried unticking that box and it didn't help. Still get a broken conmection
Use must have very low mega bytes coming in on your line as before I had fibre optic I was getting 0.5 mbps and I was able to use remote play. Personally I would ring your server and complain about the speeds.
