Batman: Arkham Knight may be months away from completing Rocksteady's dark take on the Caped Crusader, but it seems like Warner Bros has got a remaster lined up to give you your comic book fill this Christmas. According to a report on IGN Italy – citing "reliable sources" – Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City will be swooping onto the PlayStation 4 later this year. There's no word on black sheep Batman: Arkham Origins, sadly.
The report doesn't really delve into any real detail, so we'd recommend approaching this rumour with Dark Knight-esque caution for now. With so many re-releases being revealed for Sony's next-gen box, though, we can certainly believe it. Riddle us this: would you experience these games all over again on your souped up system – or did you play them to death on your PlayStation 3? Smile like the Joker in the comments section below.

Eh...depends on the upgrades. Already beat both on PS3.
I already own asylum on ps3 and steam and I already own city on my wiiU and steam but I think it's definitely worth the 'triple' dip if that is the word.
played both, no interest in playing them again.
And another one..meh
No sale. Put all of the games together (all 3) and then I might give it a go. But if they are individual releases forget it. In fact that is now my stance on all remasters unless they are less than £15 each.
Nope, already got these. Unless they add new content, I'm just gonna be getting Arkham Knight.
Huh............taking this rumor with a grain of salt. Great games but Idk a remaster isn't highly necessary especially with ps now as an option
Now this is a remaster I can get behind.
The first one was pretty damn good, but I really couldn't get into city no matter how hard I tried. Doesn't really matter what they do, I'm all set. Still wish today's handsome jack collection had the first borderlands instead of the second, would probably have gotten my purchase with bloodborne tonight.
Possibly I haven't played arkham aslyum so depends on the price etc
hell yea .... Bundle all the dlc with it and price it 35-40$. Didn't played any batman games on the ps3.
Just get Arkham Knight in June is all I ask.
If they give the option to not have a left aligned camera, I'll buy them in a heartbeart, if not, then they are as unplayable as the PS3 versions and I'll continue to pass on the franchise.
Why not. Every other sodding PS3 game is being remastered. All these companies may as well do this quickly so they can make money before Sony start PS Now properly and they can charge us to play the games again, un-remastered.
Arkham Asylum was one of my top 5 games last gen but I don't feel like I want to play it again so soon...
And the remasters keep coming...
As awesome as these games were, I'm starting to feel like this generation of consoles are focusing too heavily on "remastering" games that only came out 2-4 years ago. It was a neat idea for PS2 to PS3 remastering due to the graphical jump, but PS3 to PS4 doesnt offer as evident of a leap.
Of course after my last comment Arkham Knight is delayed, and I'm sure it won't be the last time, so they can push their remastered garbage. Worst start to a new console gen, ever. I take back all the nonsense I spewed about Wii U's first years at least with that console there were exclusives worth a damn. All the studios Sony has, all the third party supprt and the best games are PS3 games. Ridiculous.
I'm guessing they'll release a killer trilogy box set or something. That might work.
I'd probably grab it if it included Origins and was $30 or less, but I have the first two on both steam and PS3 and Origins on PS3 which I've yet to beat
It's simple really, don't like? Don't buy.
And that's why Sony and MS killed backwards compatibilty with PS4 and XBox One.
I played these on Xbox so i would love the chance to secure some trophies. Hope this is true
I have City on Wii U and the other two on PS3, only having played Asylum. If you want me to buy a new console, give me new games.
Remaster? No buy! . Will only buy the last of us on ps4 when or hits 10 euro. The rest of these games can collect dust..
2 of my favourite games from last generation and although I have both (on both my 360 and PS3) I would probably buy again on this generation too. I have had Arkham Knight on pre-order for months now as well...
Played all the Arkham series. But will def get the remastered for PS4 and play it again.
@get2sammyb: Thanks for this bit of info, hopefully it turns out to be true, I'd love to re-play both games on a PS4.
Shame that Origins isn't included, but that's probably because RockSteady didnt make it.
It's probably going to be the original PC port with higher res textures etc. Like Darksiders II. Hopefully with all the dlc and bells and whistles. Mmmm I have them on steam but still, playing them again on my "souped" up sexy looking black box with a dualshock 4... Ooooo the temptation!
@SoCoSensi420 Not everyone has been gaming since the original Arkham Asylum or were old enough to play it. There are a whole new generation to gaming all the time so just because you played it doesn't mean everyone has. It was released 6 years ago and in that time I expect that there have been millions of new gamers. There could be some people whose first and only console is a PS4/XB1. I have been gaming for more years than I care to admit too but my youngest child will be 15 next year so will actually be old enough to play these. I think it is good that some of these classics are remastered and giving people the opportunity to play them either for the first time or again with better graphics/frame rate etc. I really don't see an issue with 'remasters' - if you don't like them - don't buy! There is obviously a market for them.
Though there aren't many ports I would consider, this is one I would definitely get.
Never played Asylum, so yeah if cheap enough why not as every single ps3 game seems to be coming out on ps4. If they do release it, I just they do a dmc like port.
