Vergil, Dante's cold and calculating brother, is playable in the upcoming Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition on PlayStation 4. Fans of the franchise may remember that he was also a playable character in the fantastic Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition back on the PlayStation 2, in which his incredibly cool fighting style made him a lot of fun to take into combat.
Fortunately, it looks like his skills haven't dulled over the years, as he's looking as badass as ever in a video guide that publisher Capcom's uploaded. Zipping around the battlefield with his trademark katana in hand, he's a versatile fighter who gets more powerful when he's face to face with his foes and not needlessly running around.
Check out the footage that we've embedded, and tell us if you're keen to kill angels and demons as Vergil in the comments section below.

Yes PS4 needs more action titles like this even though its a remaster.
I would like to know why is taking so long to sony for sell psx and ps2 games into the psn? with the power of ps4 I am pretty sure its easy to make the emulator made by sony, I remember how microsoft was able to emulate the first xbox with the nvidia card in the 360 with a different platform (ati), by saying this I am pretty sure that sony with all the original sources and all the dev power can even make a ps3 emu for the ps4, no I am not kidding about this. We need retro compatibilty and I could not care less about playstation now.
@jayclayx why do that when they can keep pawning out these "remasters"?
as far as remasters goes this seems to be the one with the most significant visual upgrade
If this is against the rules I apologize I won't share a direct link but for those who want a physical edition play-asia is taking pre orders for the game with a english and japanese combo audio edition for like $40, I'm sort of thinking about it myself and figured there might be a few people out there who want a physical copy.
The only Devil May Cry game I've played is the reboot. And so far, this already looks better. Definitely getting it.
@jayclayx I couldn't agree more mate. Even my PS3 can play PS1 and PS2 games so there is no reason why Sony can't do it technically other than them wanting us to pay for the privilege via PlayStation Now. Im sure they did say early on on that they were looking into emulation for the PS4 but I guess thats a no go now. Why would I want a service like PlayStation Now when I can play my old games on Sony's previous system. I understand that there're some people who will use PlayStation Now as well as those people who don't own a PlayStation as they can use Sony's Bravia TV's or or other devices but for people like me, no thanks.
Even Microsoft are looking into emulation for the XB1 to enable backwards compatibility of XB360 games.
I may get this since I enjoyed DMC on my PS4.
So they will kill DMC:Devil May Cry story line, and return to the origins?
@Frank90 Who knows, I personally enjoyed DMC's world more.
@Frank90
It's impossible to figure out what Capcom is going to do with the series. They do have to make a choice which way they want to go though. Personally, as much as I like Ninja Theory's take on it, I like DMC 1, 3 and 4 more so I wouldn't mind a getting a 'real' DMC 5. If they want to continue with what was started in DmC: Devil May Cry, though, that's fine as well. I'd guess Capcom will look at the sales numbers for both remasters, and reactions from those who played both, and go from there.
looks pretty good. I just bought DMC remastered, waiting on it to come in mail. But this looks good as well. I was never into devil may cry till I played Dmc on ps3.
