It's been a tiring few days of travel here at Push Square Towers, so we apologise for the tardiness both on the site and in publishing What Are You Playing – it won't happen again (any time soon). With our batteries recharged and our minds refocused, though, it's time to look forward, as we prepare to take the site to the next level. We're just going to put our feet up for a few more days first, though...

I'm playing catch-up as I'm behind on practically... Well, everything right now. It'll be running, news writing, and Tropico 5 for me on this fine Bank Holiday weekend. I'm also going to stuff my face full of sausage rolls at a family gathering.

Good old bank holiday weekends – a time when you can spend not two but three whole days curled up in front of a television playing games. On the agenda this time around is more Dragon Age: Inquisition, as I attempt to really get stuck into my second playthrough before the DLC hits PlayStation platforms. The problem, however, is that I've already spent a good 20 or so hours completing the prologue, so I'm pretty sure that BioWare's creation must exist in some sort of realm where time isn't a factor.

I'm flying down to sunny Sydney this weekend to celebrate my father's birthday [Happy Birthday, Danger Dave – Ed], so I doubt that I'll be able to get in much gaming time. However, if I do manage to squeeze some in, it'll probably involve catching up on The Order: 1886 and Life is Strange. Ten Australian dollars to the person who can guess which one I'm more excited to play.

After weeks of threatening to finish Bloodborne, I only went and bloody did it. I was a little sad when It was all over, as spending time in Yarnham had become a bit of a fixture of my weekend gaming. As a result, I'm at a bit of a loose end this week, which seems like the perfect time for a Telltale takeover, to catch up on the episodes that I've missed of both Game of Thrones and Tales from the Borderlands.

I'm finally ready to face the end of Bloodborne this weekend, but before I do, I'm roaming around the world one last time cleaning up some optional bosses I missed... With the Internet as my guide. It would've taken ages for me to find them if it weren't for walkthroughs. Other than that, I will be watching the awesome Daredevil TV series, and rejoice as I finish my last day of exams on Saturday to graduate from college [Exams at the weekend? America is weird – Ed]. Ah, sweet freedom!

This long weekend gives me the perfect opportunity to return to The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth in search of the final seven trinkets to retrieve the ultimate Platinum Trophy. The hardest Trophy to pick up will definitely be completing the game with the lost character, who has no health. I will also be starting up DriveClub as I recently purchased it from the PlayStation Store. Watch your back Sammy: you won't be topping those leaderboards much longer! [The tragic truth is that I've never been top of the leaderboards, Simon – Ed]
We're off to lie in a dark room for a few hours, but feel free to pad out the comments section with your gaming agenda. What are you playing this weekend? Let us know below.

Cleaning up trophies in The Force Unleashed 2 thanks to the Star Wars sale and hopefully starting Never alone and CounterSpy on PS4......maybe
I am tryign to finish GTA V story so I can trade it with something else.
I'm still going strong in MH4U- I'm at the 350 hr mark, so I may start winding down soon. I did start playing RE Revelations 2 (so far it's great), but I'm waiting to play RAID mode with my brother, whenever he gets some time off.
Doesn't FFX/X-2 release this month? See, I finished X on Vita but never played X-2. I'd love to play that one on PS4, but I hate to pay $50 just to do it. Not to mention I never got past the first hour of FF Type 0 or Episode Duscae.
Games piling up- I need to start playing games at work, it's the only way I'll ever catch up (oh wait I already do that!)
I've had a blast on Shovel Knight this weekend. It's made me smile a lot and that soundtrack.... oh man. So good!
Apart from that I'm getting stuck into NG+ on bloodborne and leveling up my alt character for helping out anyone stuck on bosses.
apart from that, my mate has just released an album with his band, Ninkharsag (apologies for the shameless plug but they're insanely good) so I've been listening to that a lot and watching old movies. It's nice to have a quiet weekend for a change!
@JaxonH 350 hours is impressive! Yes, I believe FFX/X-2 is out on PS4 this month.
@get2sammyb
You ever put that many hours into a game before? You start to learn the game like the back of your hand. I put a whopping 600 (ok, 578) hours into MH3U.
And whenever I finish this one, I'm tempted to start Freedom Unite on Vita which I just bought (awesome thing about being on Vita is you can assign the D pad to the 2nd analog). Unless there's m-fi controller support for the iPad version. Run that signal to the TV- that would be the way to play. Have to look into that.
well as I only have 3 tropies to get on Dragon Ball XenoVerse, I'll be playing that
Finally finished TLoU at 2:30 in the morning, again. That game wore me out so I need a few days, at least, to recuperate. Took me almost 29 hours and I died 50x - exactly, I checked the stats - playing on Easy. I've finally realized Naughty Dog doesn't know what the word "Easy" means. Uncharted (1) was the same way, too many deaths even on easy. U2 and U3 I played on normal and that was fine, so I thought they had the "Easy" thing down, but no. I died at least 12 - 15 times in that one scene in the restaurant, so damn frustrating.
Though I am glad I died once near the end. I thought it was the actual ending, so it's almost like I had 2 endings in 1 game. ND is very good at making death scenes seem like a normal part of the story line, that happened a few times actually. But I would have been happy dieing 25x rather than 50.
@JaxonH - Don't expect too much out of X-2. 1 of the worst games I've ever played. Probably expected too much as X is 1 of the best FF games, which I played when it released, so was really pumped for X-2, but nothing but let down. 3 girls changing costumes and traveling in a cockpit room, no overworld map that I can remember, breezed the story easily. I think if that came out today is would be FFX DLC and I'd still be underwhelmed. But that's probably just me.
@rjejr
I've heard similar statements from others- I just don't understand how they could make such a great game then turn around and make a horrible game. I thought I would enjoy it just for the sake of the characters in it, but maybe that's just wishful thinking.
Probably carry on with my first play through of the last of us remastered. Then if my vita memory card is working, Ill be playing star wars battlefront renegade squadron. £2.80! Such a good game for the psp, will do till star wars battlefront.
@JaxonH - I'm sure you'll enjoy it, it's not broken or anything, but it feels less of a sequel and more a bunch of after the credits additional sidequests. In FF12 I finished the main story in about 50 hours, was again underwhelmed, though much better than X-2, but got another 100 hours out of it playing Monster Hunter light. So go enjoy yourself, just don't expect too much.
@rjejr
Well, I probably won't have time for it anyways. When (if?) I ever finish Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, I'm jumping right into Splatoon, Xenoblade 3D, Witcher 3, Arkham Knight, and by then Yoshi's Wooly World and Tales of Zesteria will be out, and then Xenoblade X, so it's probably a moot point anyways...
Exploring the fantastic environment of Far Cry 4.
I picked up GTA Vice City from my local retro game store on PS2 the other day, so I will be playing that. Still a great game.
Going mobile this weekend. Mighty Switch Force: Hose it Down and Mortal Kombat X
Destiny of Spirits on Vita
BattleClash on SNES
WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 on DS
Terminator Salvation on 360
Been playing sleeping dogs definitive and Destiny again after trading it in last year. I'm still refusing to buy their overpriced expansion. Even more now even though I'm locked out of some strikes .
I got Skyrim a few days ago. Needless to say, it'll be all I'm playing this weekend.
Playing Blood borne, got the 3 shadows down and Rom, hoping to platinum it before wicher 3 is out otherwise ill be in trouble
Bloodborne for me this weekend, loving what I've played so far! After spending a while exploring and generally wondering what all the talk of it being difficult was all about, the Cleric Beast gave me a real lesson in humility! So far it's 4-0, time to farm me some more blood echoes...
@JaxonH I've been playing a lot of X-2 recently, as I decided to plat it. But @rjejr is right, it's not very good at all. The plot is near non existent, and it's terribly lazily developed (only about 5-10 new enemies in the whole thing, everything else is just taken from the original)! It's not a terrible game, but it's definitely the worst FF, even more than XIII-2...
Destiny and Assassins Creed Unity. Assassins still has a lot of performance issues, if anyone was wondering, but I guess they've given up trying to improve it by now. Still, a pretty amazing game.
@Wesker I really didn't get on all that well with unity. It's nice to look at and the free running element has been really well refined, but the plot was an absolute shambles compared to even the weakest entries in the rest of the series :/
@SteveButler2210 I agree. You can tell that the game is worked on by many different teams all around the world. As you say, it's a shambles.
Friday - FFX Vita just beat the weird Seymour with a crab claw boss and FFzero now 6 hours in. Saturday - Diablo 3 some guy boosted me from level 95 or so to 414 in half an hour woo hoo. Sunday - Lego Marvel PS4 finished the first 2 levels. Good gaming weekend.
@JaxonH x-2 was terrible. Didnt feel like a ff game and was a real mess following on from x which was great
Mortal Komat X and some raid mode in Resident Evil Revelations 2.
@JaxonH - Good decision.
@rjejr @Mrskinner @SteveButler2210
Hmm... Thanks for saving me $50. Guess Type 0 would be a much better choice then as far as FF on PS4
@JaxonH without a doubt, it's very different to other FF games but it's pretty good the FFX/X-2 collection is still worth getting but you'd be better off getting the PS3 version as its much cheaper and will be pretty much exactly the same!
@SteveButler2210
Thing is, I already own it on Vita. I was just looking for a reason to spend another $50 I don't need to spend on a game I already own (and have already beaten the better game on).
Grinding for blood echoes in Bloodborne's new game +, God of War HD, Metal Gear Solid 2 HD, and Dishonored.
Xenosaga 1 and Valkyria Chronicles, three weeks running now. They're both incredible works of art
I'm still playing Deadpool (PS3), hoping to be done by Mother's Day or sooner.
Trying to het rogue legacy platinum but its soooooooooo frustrating, I may have to admit defeat, has anyone got the platinum for it.or getting any where near? I'm close to 60% done and going grey 😠
