As expected, Quantic Dream took to Sony's Paris Games Week stage earlier today to announce Detroit – a Cloud Atlas-inspired story about sentient robots in a changing, futuristic world. The game will star Kara from the classic PlayStation 3 tech demo, and will deal with the cyborg's life once she's left the factory in which she was constructed. It looks drop dead gorgeous, of course.
"We didn't want to do another story on AI, we wanted to talk about what it means to be human and what it would be like to be in the shoes of an android discovering our world and their own emotions," said director David Cage, unafraid to use his favourite word yet again. There's no release date just yet, but this author loves the premise, and can't wait to learn more.

I can't say I am a fan of David Cages games and the fact this is one of his, puts me off. It does show potential and has an interesting if not unique concept. This is another game though that falls into my 'wait and see' category to see what the gameplay is like and how it develops but at the moment didn't do enough to get me excited
Looks promising but...what about the Sorcerer?
I only clicked the image because I thought it was Jennifer Lawrence.
It wasn't.
I'm disappointed.
This is the first game on PS4 which I will pre-purchase.
Hope robocop caps her ass.
OMG no joke i asked by email if they ever do something with KARA from the techdemo funny that is a game now.
even though beyond two souls sucked, I'm excited for this
I am ready for another feels worthy game
@SoulsBourne128 The Dark Sorcerer was just a tech demo much like how Kara was.
Well, let's see how silly David Cage decides to make his latest romp look.
This has potential, so I'm excited to see how it turns out.
The hype is real
omg!! it's happening!1 I loved Beyond: 2 Souls and the Kara demo was really emotional. So many games I'm excited for!
Gravity Rush 2
Detroit
Knight of Azure
Tomb Raider
ReCore
Halo 5
Finally, now it's starting to feel like we're getting into the current gen. Such a good time to be a gamer. (^_^ )
This is the real actress, apparently.
Hopefully David Cage and crew will impress me this time. Before I played Until Dawn, I chalked it up to me just simply not being a fan of these kind of games. However, I really enjoyed Until Dawn, so I think what it really comes down to is Quantic Dream has big ideas but the company just doesn't seem to hit on its stories. Beyond wasn't impressive and Heavy Rain was worse because in addition to an uninteresting story the voice acting was very annoying.
@Matroska Correct! Her name's Valorie Curry; she's been in quite a lot of stuff, including Twilight and Veronica Mars.
Looks like it'll be an interesting game, but please change the awful, awful name to this game! Detroit: Become Human just sounds retarded.
Looks to me like Quantic Dream just out-cyberpunked Cyberpunk 2077. This will probably be better tham the rumored Ghost in The Shell movie with Scarlet Johanson. I am very excited for this game!
I'm not really one for the short-haired look, but she pulls it off pretty well.
Looks familiar, was she in The Following?
@Bad-MuthaAdebisi I knew the visual style looked familiar. Keep in mind, this wI'll be more like Telltale's The Walking Dead or Until Dawn than open world mission-based gameplay.
Im not into those futuristic robot-populous type of games so this is going to be a pass.
Love the idea, and have always been a huge fan of Quantic Dreams games. Can't wait to see more.
