At this point we're just desperate for Uncharted 4: A Thief's End to actually release, because we can't take much more of this. Once again, developer Naughty Dog has set about teasing protagonist Nathan Drake's death in the upcoming sequel.
Co-director Neil Druckmann told one terrible English newspaper that "this is the end for Nathan Drake", admitting that it would "be really hard to do a sequel" involving the plucky treasure hunter. However, Druckmann doesn't rule out another title in the franchise, even if the bottom line is that it won't feature Drake.
So, will Nate survive another series of ridiculous events, or do you think that this really will be the, er, thief's end? Take a tumble into the comments section below.

I don't think they'll kill him off. Seems way too obvious, and Naughty Dog is cleverer than that.
I think one of Drake's companions is more likely to meet their maker, to be honest.
2 possibilities for the "last game" -
he gets shot in the back leaving him paralyzed from the waist down left in a wheelchair
the entire game is flashback story he is telling on his deathbed to his grandkids or a reporter, and then he dies of old age, which, while it would technically have him die st the end, dieing at 93 isn't the same as dieing at 40.
I just can't imagine him dieing young, not even as a sacrifice to save his brother or Elena. And I'm going to be greatly annoyed if he does.
Don't think it would really be fitting with Naughty Dog or Uncharted to have too big of a twist in Uncharted 4. They know exactly what kind of notes they have to hit in a story like this - it's a big, Hollywood, all-action blockbuster, and while there will be huge plot developments I don't think they're going to do anything too left-field, as it would detract from what the series is about. That said, I think the death of at least one major character is guaranteed. I have my theories based on the 'Hollywood blockbuster' template but we'll just have to wait and see I guess!
He slips off a cliff into a wormhole and finds himself captain of a ship in space called Serenity.
@Elodin That is a gorram perfect ending.
I'm really torn over whether he should die or not. I really love the series, I'm currently playing the collection and loving them as much as I did the first time, I want it to continue but i'm unsure whether they would without Drake and whether it would be worthwhile without him.
The only thing that'll be dying is Ratchet & Clank's sales since they'll be releasing the same month.
Uncharted has been about Drake can not imagine the franchise without him. But then again I could have never imagined Mass Effect without Shepard.
im waiting for the uncarted collection to go on sale so I can finally play these dam games
This series has to end if he dies. Period.
@dryrain
There's a huge universe to explore with Mass Effect though. It's a much different kind of game than a linear action/adventure. Nathan Drake is Uncharted just like Lara Croft is Tomb Raider. Take either out and the series needs to go as well.
@AyeHaley I wouldn't mind a prequel with Sully as the protagonist and Marlowe as his old adventurin' buddy.
I doubt Drake will die at his current age, though that would be a plot twist.
