Mostly monochromatic indie hit Downwell is taking the plunge to the PlayStation 4 and Vita, according to a PlayStation Japan indie spotlight video. The title was nonchalantly included alongside other upcoming Eastern releases like Rocket League and Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, and the news has since been retweeted by Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida, so must be accurate.
This was always a game that looked like a lock for PlayStation platforms after it blew up on PC and mobile last year – in fact, we mentioned it in our PSX 2015 predictions, only for it to not materialise. The game's essentially a roguelike where you, well, fall down a well – but the twist is that you're equipped with gun boots, which help you to off the many enemies that you find along the way.

It's actually a really awesome little game. My only gripe is that, while by no means bad, it doesn't lend itself to touch controls that well due to its twitchy gameplay, so I'm pleased that I'll be able to play it soon on Vita, which will be a perfect fit.
Just need to add Undertale now.
@adf86 THIS GAME IS AMAZING
And I agree with you, we need Undertale asap. I guess we have a better chance for it to hit PS4/Xbox1 since its a Game Maker game...but I'd love to play the game on my 3DS or Wii U as well.
Ive been watching lets plays and listening to the incredible soundtrack and I just cant wait anymore XD I need my Undertale fix ASAP.

Awesome! I've heard great things about this game but I don't game on PC or tablet. I will definitely pick this up.
I absolutely love this game. Not sure how well it will translate to PS4, but I'm sure it'll be a perfect fit for PS VITA
