There's not really too much to say about the latest Japanese hardware and software charts, but we'll be damned if we're going to miss out on this weekly article. Starting on the software side of things, the top 20 was bombarded by the new Kamen Rider game, which is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and Vita, but despite securing the first, third, and fourth chart spots, total sales didn't break the 100,000 mark.
Elsewhere, titles such as Attack on Titan and Street Fighter V found themselves slipping - the latter has sold through a rather disappointing 53,196 copies since launch - while the handheld edition of Dragon Quest Builders managed to remain in the top 20, even though its home console counterparts are now nowhere to be seen.
Unimpressive software numbers haven't quite been enough to knock the PS4 from the summit of the hardware charts, however. Sony's latest machine only dropped around 2800 sales compared to the week prior, sitting comfortably at 26,502 units.

While it's nice to see the PS4 start to steady around the 25k to 30k mark, the numbers are pretty dreadful across the board. Oh for the days when 30k was considered a disastrous result...
I think many will continue to make the transfer to mobile devices. The gaming landscape has changed drastically and many of these devs were left playing catch up due to not being able to adjust to the new trends in gaming. Unfortunately mobile gaming is low risk, with a chance for high reward. Oh how I hate it, imo it is the bane of the gaming hobby.
With their apparent love of mobile games, I wonder if they've embraced digital purchases more readily than a number of people in Europe and the USA appear to have? Could it be that PS Store transactions are helping to make the software sales look poorer than they are?
@Kidfried Ah, hadn't heard that. Interesting, thanks. 10% isn't going to make much difference.
Wow ps4 still sell 25k even without a big game release. Good numbers.
Not a bad number for ps vita
