So, here's the thing: my Push Square Podcast partner in crime Ben Tarrant has never played any of the Uncharted games. As an alleged fan of PlayStation platforms, this news horrified you as much as it did I. As such, by popular demand, we're going to play through Nate Drake's swashbuckling ventures on the PlayStation 4 for your entertainment. In this inaugural episode, we don tickly moustaches, question Elena's scuba-themed short shorts, and run through some lush forests. Lurrrvely.

How did he get hired again? JK
@get2sammyb Coincidentally, I was in the car yesterday listening to that horrible "Hater's Gonna Hate" song when I realized you hadn't posted a pick of TS in a very long while. And why is he carrying a piece of rope?
Best part about U - it's so lame it makes you even more totally blown away by how good U2 is.
I had never played any of the uncharted games and I owned a ps3 since its launch. Picked up the Drake Collection and I must say I really enjoyed the first one and thought it held up a lot better than what most claim. I definitely like them all but part 1 has a certain charm to it. Have fun!!
FYI about the lighting. The sun went down and we were too engrossed to notice. We turn a light on in the next episode, promise!
Your first time is always special, or so I'm told...
What's wrong with her shorts???
Kinda confirms my suspicions about UC, the video was more appealing than the game.
Just watched that 15 minute UC4 trailer yesterday. That thing is action packed to the gills, and I can honestly see it being a HUGE seller, even pre than the titles before it. The production values are just through the roof, in Naughty Dog we trust.
@Majic12 Yeah, I think it's going to be gigantic.
I've been a Playstation fan since the early days of PS1, owned all the consoles and the handhelds. I played Uncharted 1 for about 2 hours and didnt like it, have not played one since.
How do you consider yourself his friend ? This is Playstation high treason in the eyes of bluray God's and men.
I love the first Uncharted. The second game is better but I will always have fond memories of Drake's Fortune.
@Arckadius the funny thing is that uncharted 1 was just ok to decent until uncharted 2 released with its perfection.
Even 3 didn't top 2 in my eyes and judgement.
I like them all equally and in different ways. The first seems to be more focused on the action, second and third on story.
@Majic12 Funny how opinions differ. But I renege 2 being full of action ,more so than the others.
Eeeeugh this game doesn't hold up well. I had to really push myself to get through it in the Nathan Drake collection.
I'm probably going to get banned for saying this on this site, but I feel like Tomb Raider 2013 did to the entire Uncharted series what Uncharted 2 and 3 did to Drake's Fortune: it made it seem archaic, slow, and really just tedious in my opinion. And with Rise of the Tomb Raider ripping off the best things about Uncharted and combining them with the best things about The Last of Us, I almost want to say Crystal Dynamics is beating Naughty Dog at their own game (no pun intended).
I still want to see a crossover with Nathan and Lara, and I sincerely hope UC4 is at least as fun to play as UC2, UC3 and TLoU were to watch.
From an uncharted 1 hater, uncharted 2 is frankly awesome.
@TeslaChippie I agree with you. I think that Tomb Raider and Rise of the Tomb Raider are some of the best games of the genre and way better than Uncharted.
@Jairo_MC @TeslaChippie Drake's Fortune is almost a decade old now and it shows its age in gameplay. The new TR games are pretty good, though I'm not a fan of their shaky-cam effects (am I the only one?). The Uncharted story and characters are really well told, imho. I'm excited for U4 and truly curious how the writers of TLOU take the reins of Nate's story to conclusion. I have fallen in love with these characters.
@TeslaChippie @JoeBlogs Gameplay wise? Yes but storywise the last of us or uncharted 2 just steamrolls the tombraider games. I also find it funny that TR came after uncharted 3 came in 2011 while TR came out in what? 2013! Sorry, but i felt TR just tried to be a female drake which is ironic because Uncharted started as a Indiana jones/lara craft inspired game.
