The time's come to argue with your friends over who gets to use what character class in upcoming PlayStation 4 shooter Alienation. Naturally, each class has its own strengths and weaknesses, and is largely defined by which abilities it has at its disposal.
Along with a gameplay trailer, the three images that we've embedded should help you make up your mind before the title launches on the 26th April. Will you take on the role of a tank, soaking up the pain so that your allies can deal out some punishment, or is the tricky saboteur more your thing? Try to fight as a cohesive unit in the comments section below.

Was this not on Plus a few weeks back?
@itshoggie No, you are thinking of Helldivers, these guys make awesome games such as Deadnation, Resogun and Super Stardust.
@yocdub awh yeah that's it, cheers!
You've got to be kidding me? I really hesitated buying severed and now this.. On the same date
@Neolit But it has deeper game play than their previous games.
Had this pre ordered for months already. Can't wait!!!
@Neolit That's fair enough. Maybe you can try it when it undoubtedly hits the instant games collection.
Already pre-ordered!
Looks pretty great, though that should be expected with Housemarque by now. Any word on their other game, MatterFall?
Dead nation =zombies Alien nation =aliens. However they're both essentially the same game. I'll pass this rehashed nonsense. Give us resogun 2 FFS!
no need to pre-order as its a digital game, does look good though, not sure if its for me yet. i'll wait for the reviews
@Bazza78
Best post of the day if you were indeed being cynical...
"Dead nation =zombies Alien nation =aliens. However they're both essentially the same game. I'll pass this rehashed nonsense. Give us resogun 2 FFS!"
@Boerewors lol of course i recognize cynicism. But resogun 2 would be a sequel in both name and spirit . Not a rehashed version of deadnation replacing zombies with aliens! Alienation is deadnation reskinned without them specifically calling it sequel. You loveable sap that was my entire point. Look up 'ironic' in the dictionary .
It's "ironic" that you tried to make a fool out of me, yet now it's you who looks a fool
@Bazza78
Okay sure!
@Bazza78 I think you are still the one looking like a fool.
@Bazza78 Nice try haha.
@Neolit Whilst the game still looks great, I'm also a little less interested in it with all the materials etc. I was just hoping for a top down Resogun sort of affair. I'll still maybe give it a go.
@Majic12 Nothing since it's reveal but I suspect we will start to hear more in the coming months after Alienation launches. I have a feeling that Matterfall is going to be a 2D platformer that incorporates elements of Resogun and Outland. There's also their "other project" their working on with the creator of Defender too.
@Boerewors admittedly my original post did sound like a contradiction . Just worded badly.
@Flaming_Kaiser thanks, have a nice day.
@Bazza78
I wasn't being too serious anyway, I get where you're coming from. For me this is one of the few games I'd pre order blindly based on the dev alone; even if it's just a reskin of deadnation, I'm still game tbh.
That said, a Resogun sequel would be more than welcome! I've spend so many hours on that game and no matter when I pick it up, I always enjoy myself! I've played Stardust till my fingers bled as well, both on the Vita and the PS3. Stardust HD is the only reason actually that I pull out the ol' 3D goggles once in a while, somehow it adds to the experience...wearing the futuristic looking glasses more than the 3D effect, but who cares?
These are great times to be a gamer! We're spoiled with games like Enter the Gungeon, Salt and Sanctuary and Alienation that ask relatively so little money for what they bring to the table. The only reason I wouldn't buy Alienation straight away is because of the backlog; it's not just the earlier mentioned titles, but with Ratchet and Clank, Severed, DS3 and Quantum Break I'm having more games than I can ever play it seems
Never tried Dead Nation, is this really just a rehash of that?
