Here's one that will date our readers: Sony's registered a trademark for G-Police in Europe. For those of you under the age of 28, this was a really popular sci-fi flight sim which released for the PSone all the way back in 1997 to rave reviews and some relatively strong sales numbers. A sequel released a few years later but never caught on in quite the same way.
As a result, the game never got a third entry, but the platform holder may be looking to revive the brand. As mentioned, Gematsu spotted a trademark registration for the title in Europe, suggesting that the old Psygnosis brand could be on the cusp of a comeback. This could be any number of things, ranging from a virtual reality release all the way through to a PSone Classic for the PlayStation 4.
The manufacturer's definitely starting to dig into its archives these days, though. Shadow of the Beast just released this week, and there are rumours that The Sentinel may be on the verge of a comeback as well. Now all we need is Destruction Derby and Colony Wars and we'll be good to go. We'll keep an eye on the G-Police scenario and see what happens.

I would love some destruction derby........nobody on this side of the Atlantic knows what Shadow of the Beast is.......
@sub12 Yeah, that revival was 100% aimed at the European market. I can't imagine anyone had an Amiga in the States.
Ooooh, this is exciting, love G-Police! Awesome fun. Also hard as nails halfway through, preferable to being too easy of course.
Never got a chance to play this but i would LOVE a remake of Future Cop.
Was the Amiga not available outside the UK?
Good times, fond memories of playing this with my older brother back then. Still got our copy too after all those years.
Neither of us ever fully finished it as we always got stuck on a certain level but it was such fun to boot it back up & try again.
A G-Police VR game perhaps? Would be a good fit.
Yes yes yes and yes. My bestie had it when we were teens and it made me want a psone. Loved tbe game for realsies.
Never finished this either if I remember right, awsome game though. I'd rather a game was so hard I couldn't finish it rather than it being so easy I can smash it in 1 or 2 day's.
Played the heck out of g-police when I was 17 back then but I was never able to beat it, it got really hard towards the end. Loved the game though. Now destruction derby??? Omg!!! That is one of my all time favorite games in ps1 era, I would love for it to cone back. Only the first destruction derby though, the sequels were horrible
Let's face it if they release a game that's so hard it can't be completed by many these day's people would just hit the forum's and QQ about it until it got nerfed into the ground with patch's so much a blind 5 year old could complete it, damn I miss the old day's.
Sounds like a VR game to me. I never played G Police so I'll be interested to see this!
YES!!!
Oh yes, remember the TV screens dotted around the city, used to just hover the chopper to watch them....great game....hard as nails though...
