Does the temporary exclusivity deal over the upcoming Dead Rising 4 have you down? Well, Capcom may still have something for PlayStation 4 owners this year.
Over on Exophase, a Trophy list has appeared for the original Dead Rising, a game that has never deployed on a PlayStation system since its release in 2006. It's unclear if this is a straight port or a full remaster, but we could be getting our hands on it very soon. Trophy lists only appear when a game is very close to its release, which points to an imminent launch of this classic zombie adventure.

Been watching the Game Grumps playthrough of this one recently...if it's cheap enough and a decent upgrade, I might consider it. If it's a direct port of an ugly early 360 game, it'll just be an embarrassment hitting PlayStation TEN YEARS late, though.
Ah cool, I had this with my short love affair with the 360 (3x3Red Lights ended my Xbox days!), had a lot of fun with it, might be tempted in again.
Hmmmm... Maybe.
I suppose this is going to be a digital only release right? I would love a physical copy on PS4.
YES!
Hated 2 and 3, not getting the original.
Will it be on disc release or digital? hopefully disc
Dead Rising 1 was awesome & fun
@JaredJ hopefully Bruv
I really wish Capcom would just bring the updated PC version of Dragons Dogma to PS4. One of the best games of last gen and I've seen a surprising amount of people wanting the same.
After Dying Light and Dying Light: The Following, I don't want to see another zombie for a year or two.
@karlkemp18 if Capcom can release Resident Evil 4,5, & 6 on disc for $20. They should do the same for Dead Rising.
Played this a lot when it first came out its a cool as it is odd. So much replayability due to the timed events.
Think I'll keep one eye on this... Might pick it up if price is right and a decent quality port...
Fun game but it's hard for me to go back to at times. The survivors act so annoying in this game. Hopefully Capcom fixes this.
@shonenjump86 It's not so much the survivors as the stressful time-limit instilled in the game.
Great game in 2006, doesn't hold up well, though.
@JaredJ @karlkemp18
Capcom is weird sometimes. I think all the RE re-releases got a disc version but Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition was digital-only in North America and I believe the same for Ultra Street Fighter IV (not sure if Europe got those games on disc or not). Dead Rising will probably be the same.
I'm definitely interested in this. I really liked both the Wii "reversioning" of 1, and 2: Off The Record on PS3. The Wii version is so substantially different that I would welcome the chance to play the original as it was meant to be played.
@Gatatog Indeed a 1000 times better then this.
@Gamer83 I rather see great classic games like Dragon Dogma released on disk. Where do I sign for a simple PC version.
Chalk up another vote for Dragon's Dogma.
I'm down for the original lol.
Dead Rising was of no fun for me because the timer truly ruined all the not-so-bad-in-general gameplay. I had tried twice to complete the game and twice failed due to the stupid timed events, which result in game over.
I hope its the wii port
@sonicmeerkat The Wii version was fun for a time but flawed... will Capcom be able to add anything substantial to a PS4 release?
Yum yum.
